At this post office, for YEEEARRSSS, the people have always been snippy, cold and unconcerned with anything related to you and your mail. You come in and try to be friendly with a smile and pleasant conversation and...they won't have any of that. LOL. The local mail carriers are usually younger generations that don't understand the old post office motto: "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." Forget about that. They don't bother to even check if you have mail to pick up if they don't have something to drop off. So if you have a bill that NEEDS to be paid BUT no junk mail for them to bring you....Sigh. That's the world in the latter days folks.

I had to mail a package and went inside the post office. The lady that was running the counter was the nicest, helpful, and most charming young lady that I've ever seen working there! She greeted me with a smile, and waited on me immediately, whilst waiting on the other lady. She explained the different prices of shipping and looked up the exact day my package would arrive. She was VERY patient with me and the CC machine and guided me through the steps to use it. I cannot say enough good things about her CS skills. This girl sets the bar for excellence and should be used in textbooks on training new-hires in the true art of delivering top notch customer service! I didn't get her name, but I was there around noon on Monday, October 25, 2021.

Closing at 4:30 means you work until 4:30, not draw the blinds at 4:25 in my face. Total lack of professionalism. No wonder the USPS is in the shape it’s in. The worst. Disrespectful. More than angry. Zero stars would be more accurate.

All the other reviews are 100% right. I had my husband bring a package once and the person behind the desk literally made fun of him for bringing a box that I guess they wouldn’t mail? (But they had mailed one just like it a week before)

These people did not even scan te tracking number of my package I put in the blue box into the system. I would have been better off driving the package to Georgia my self.

Most unprofessional person ever. I forget to look to see what her name was. Very rude and she lock the doors @4:15. Didn't ask to see if I needed anything else or not.

They close earlier than specified; consider that before taking the time to go there. I spent extra time driving to another post office when this one was supposed to be open.

The Highland Springs USPS is a prime example of a small-town, local post office that probably hasn't seen an update in fifty years. Tasha, running the service counter was nice enough, however even walking into this location made me feel tired - I could only imagine what it would feel like to work there. For a small location, they do have plenty of Post Office boxes, and enough supplies to assist you in sending pretty much whatever you need. On that note, I came in with a prepaid Priority Mail certificate in order to return a phone to the manufacturer. I understand purchasing a padded envelope, reasonably priced I might add, but even Tasha cringed when she asked me if I had brought tape along with me to affix the label to the envelope... Nope, so I paid twice as much for a roll of "ReadyPost" tape simply because at the post office, they are not allowed to tape things for you. Maybe the USPS wouldn't be facing such budgetary challenges if it focused on service instead of alienating their own customers by nickel and diming them.

Business hours say 10-4:30. Why is it now 10:15 on 2/26/2018 still not open? So unprofessional.

Its 3:30 & the clerk either left for the weekend or dead, because they sure ain't answering the door.
