This is my local USPS and I've have nothing but good experiences. The workers are nice though one of the On Call Ladies could have a better attitude haha, otherwise nothing but good people here!! I go every week or other week to ship things out when applicable.

I made three total attempts to have a package picked up at my front door. One a couple weeks ago went great, the USPS person showed up and grabbed 50lbs worth of boxes. The other two didn't go so great. I scheduled a pickup for one 5lb box two days in a row and it was never picked up. I received an email saying the pickup was attempted, but I know this to be a lie. I have a camera at my front door and saw that no pickup was attempted. I don't like being lied by lazy USPS employees. Things like this are making nobody care that USPS is going bankrupt.

Dumfries postoffice has great service. I've been using the postoffice 15yrs and I have never had a bad experience. The staff are nice, friendly and professional. We have to remember we feed off of rach other. Thanks U all for your services.

I’m young & this was my first time mailing a package. Black lady at front desk was rude & when I asked simple questions she replied very vaguely & answered as if I were an idiot. She didn’t give me options of what kind of shipping I want to proceed forth with & just sssumed what I wanted. When I asked what the fastest shipping would be after she already put the label on, she seemed annoyed with having to take the label off & then explain to me my options. If she were to do her job correctly & in a polite manor, her & her customers day would go a lot more smoothly & she’d get a better review. I’m from Georgia & am only here because my husband is stationed here, I don’t want to be here just as much as she does, but a little bit of gd southern hospitality goes a long way!

As another reviewer stated, I'm not sure why this place has so many negative reviews. I've been using this postal location for over a year now and have never had any problems. And since I sell goods online, I come here quite often. All of the employees I've encountered during this time have been pleasant and professional. As matter of fact, even though I have recently moved out of the Dumfries area and have a post office that is closer to my new residence, I still come back to this location for all of my transactions because of the customer service. Today, when I called them on the phone to inquire about a package, an employee picked up right away, which has never happened with other post offices that I have dealt with over the years. (In past experiences, I would have to turn on the speakerphone so that I could sit the receiver down because I knew it would be anywhere from 5 minutes to nearly an hour before someone picked up.) Again, my dealings with this location have been nothing but positive. Keep up the good work, guys!

AVOID this location! 1) had SASE and bought postage online, REFUSED to refund me the $11.90 and Tran (gal at front) has NO customer service, is rude and should NEVER be allowed to deal with the public! 2) Had an overseas package I ordered. Wait, Wait, contact sender, tracking number showed it arrived in US 7/22. NEVER once did I receive a notice, never knew the package was there, 7/22 is a SATURDAY. I was HOME and no one delivered ANYTHING or knocked on my door. I watch my grandson so my front door WAS OPEN!! No one EVER walked up to my door! This is the worst post office ever! Even when I left New Orleans after Katrina THEY still did a better job delivering the mail!

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from. I like this Post Office because of its convenience to my job site. The packages that I send from here are delivered on time, sometimes even a day early. The customer service is brisk but friendly and courteous. If I show up and there is a line, it moves along fairly quickly. I've been using this location for the past several months and have had a good experience with it so far.

April 23, 2015. The Lady at the post office today was so nasty to me. I was the only one standing there on this early Morning waiting for someone to help me because no one was in sight. In walks a man and a woman together. The lady came to the desk and beckoned to them to come to her for help. After the coupled was helped then she asked me how can she help me. The couple told me they apologized because they thought she helped me already. Apparently, they don't like to answer the phone unless you let it ring until it can't ring anymore. I will take my business to the base next time instead of giving these people business. This lady was very unpleasant even in the middle of the transaction. I wanted to say to her"why come to work if you can't be bothered" I won't call her out but I hope someone else report her because when I told my spouse about this he said right off the back this person. Somebody need JESUS
