In June I went to First Team Kia to view a 2023 Sportage. I didn’t come prepared to buy a car because I was just looking but after seeing it I decided I was interested. I worked with Charlie & all together I probably spoke to him 10-15min but I was at the dealership for HOURS and most of that time was spent sitting at his desk alone waiting while he went and spoke to his manager. He pretended to negotiate but nothing changed in the price. He just brought back papers showing what the price would be if I made a larger down payment & the car came with a markup. He basically told me to take it or leave it because with the car shortage someone else will buy it. I walked away but came back the next day with a check from Navy Fed. I had every intention of getting the car but I wanted them to come down on the markup because I felt they were taking advantage. But I didn’t feel comfortable making a large purchase or giving them my business after I expressed my concerns with them. The manager Corey was very rude, condescending & argumentative. I told him I’m not looking for the best deal, just a FAIR deal but I felt taken advantage of as a woman not being as knowledgeable shopping for a car. Corey said “well don’t buy the car we aren’t forcing you to buy the car. Either you want it or you don’t.” Just unbelievably rude. This was my first time buying a car and I felt like there was some shadiness going on. Im active duty military & my HOR is Florida. So I’m not subject to state taxes. I didn’t know this when I went to First Team Kia.. the salesman at another dealership told me & I paid $40 for taxes on my 2023 Sportage I got at another dealership. However at First Team Kia I expressed wanting Florida tags & registration & Charlie told me is cheaper to do Virginia because if I do FL I’ll have to pay their fee of $899 on top of taxes. The paperwork Charlie’s gave me had VA taxes at $2500 whereas for the same exact car at another Kia Dealership using FL taxes I paid virtually no taxes all I had to do was provide my orders. This is what I mean by Money Hungry

This place is dishonest about their service plan. They don’t sale maintenance packages. Instead They sale you “free oil changes” and say that’s why there are no maintenance packages. WHAT THEY INTENTIONALLY DONT TELL YOU IS THAT THE OIL CHANGES ARE ONLY FREE IF YOU PURCHASE WHAT A MAINTENANCE PACKAGE WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE COVERED. Essentially forcing customers to pay for their own maintenance…

Never buy a used car from this place. They sell lemons. The very next day after driving off the lot, the car broke down. Now up to 3 repairs in less than 3 months. Run far far away. Take heed to this warning ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️

From the first inquiry I appreciated the direct and minimal contact from this dealership. As most people I Dread the process because as someone who has worked in the industry, it’s exhausting to repeatedly tell high pressure dealers that their manipulative tactics won’t work. I never for even a second got those vibes from Ashley or anyone at First Team Kia. We were all direct, open and honest. Our situation wasn’t ideal for anyone, but they worked very hard to get something to work, and they did! I love to see such a large dealership transitioning into more modern and ethical sales practices. This is our 4th Kia and we will continue to buy them, this is absolutely the most positive experience I’ve ever had at a dealer and I’ve bought close to 20 cars in the past 12 years. So for that, I thank everyone who had a part in getting us on the road in our new car. And I hope you train all of your sales personal like you have Ashley!

I have been going to First Team Kia for my maintenance needs for several years and have been extremely happy with the staff and the service I've received. I purchased my first vehicle from them last month and have been just as happy with my purchase. From the initial communications, to the delivery of the vehicle and after, their staff has been absolutely first class. Charlie Seaboch was the initial salesperson I spoke to and being it was a Telluride, there was a wait involved during which I probably spoke to just about every member on the sales staff to include management. All of them were a pleasure to work with. At delivery Charlie did the most thorough overview I've ever had in purchasing a vehicle, new or used to include what just about every knob, switch, and button in the vehicle did. A couple of days after delivery, he reached out to see if I had any questions and told me to reach out at any time should questions arise. I'm extremely appreciative of the staff and their efforts to ensure I was happy with my purchase and I recommend First Team Kia to anyone in the market for a vehicle.

I just want to thank Jazmin again for reaching out in January after I inquired about trading my car in. I arrived at the dealership to see the car I was interested in front and center in the parking lot! I was approached in a timely manner by Jarvis who went inside to let AJ know I had arrived. This had to be the best car buying experience for me. Got a reasonable offer on my trade and Jessica got me a better rate on my financing than I thought I could get. Not to mention Jarvis was able to get me in the car I wanted right away with no bait and switch issue. I am a happy newer car owner with a great warranty and other amazing LIFETIME perks! It was a pleasure doing business with Raheed and AJ. At first, I was apprehensive on visiting any Kia dealerships. I've heard about their infamous lack of great customer care. Rest assured, First Team Kia does not fall under that category. I did not feel pressured in anyway throughout this whole process, nor did I feel like I was treated with disrespect. The service team was hospitable and cared for all of your vehicle concerns. My overall experience was pleasant, and I would definitely come back here if I am browsing for a new Kia.
