A bit ran down but is expected as it is the old skating rink from years of old. Drinks are reasonably priced.although you have to be invited or be a member to go in the establishment and enjoy the atmosphere and the drinks

Nice stage and live music and dance floor but not so inclusive and friendly to outsiders, maybe because of the club thing. However veterans may need there own spaces.

This is a private club, of sorts, in order to be a member you must volunteer your time. Members can sign in guests, but you can't just walk in, like you could a standard bar. There is a buzzer at the door and you have to actually be let in. If you aren't local (or sleeping with someone that grew up here) don't expect to meet friendly people. This small town is like a High School and my experience at The Legion demonstrated that I am not in any of the cliques. My understanding is that The Legion was originally started as a bar/hangout for Veterans or family of Veterans. The bar tender, Dan, was pleasant and funny. There is a band that volunteers to perform covers of rock music, they aren't great.

A great place for veterans to hang out, have a drink and tell stories.
