Giant Food has great prices and lots of sales going on. I shop with a budget and I'm always under budget when I shop there. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially if I can't find something I need. This branch even includes a pharmacy. They are wonderful with their telephone reminders. The only con to the store is that they no longer sell two liter sized Gatorades. Everything else is fine.

Sunday evening is a good time to shop! The shelves are stocked as usual less traffic. Prices are up a bit yet everything I was looking for was there. Very clean. No changes, still a quality place to buy food.

My five star review is base on their customer service, they are quite engage at their duties and responsibilities. I wish their produce section was a little better. UPDATED: their produce section has improved a lot and their customer service is still great.

I have to now file a lawsuit against this store and it’s corporate offices for violating Maryland law 14-2505. They broke and continue brake laws at will, both federal and state, I will make sure the FTC and the Maryland Attorney Generals office are aware of the civil violations going on. Maryland law states a store must post its return policy and then follow such policy, however at this store the GM has decided to make it a non Maryland store and say no laws apply to this store. I’m her eyes this store is sovereign land, therefore she and her store are not subject to such rules and regulations? Today I attempted to make a return for $38.24 without the a receipt as per store policy, I was following store policy and Maryland Civil laws perfectly. —-Written Store policy states: No receipt needed: Refunded over $20 will be refunded onto a Giant Food Gift Card— She however did not like this, she called the police and said that me bringing up words like FTC and Attorney General Brian Frost are words of violence and physical harm to her and the employees. As she was on the phone with 911 a crime of filling a false police report I then made her aware I for my protection had been video recording the entire event from the moment I entered the store and the police would know I made no threats, and what might have been a minor lawsuit has now become a major punitive damages lawsuit now! Within a few minutes she went to some older heavy set man, said a few words to him, he then came charging at me wanting to fight me. Yelling at me and cursing at me in front of customers and children on a Sunday afternoon. He was inches from my face, he wanted me to touch him but I wouldn’t lower myself and give into the trap they were trying to set for me. It was obvious they knew they had messed up, I knew it, and so did they. A few minutes later the police arrived and nothing was done except they said I could file a lawsuit if I wanted to. They could not trespass me as I didn’t commit any crimes or disrupt any business matters This week I’m going to file the paperwork to sue them in state and federal courts, no one should be abused as I was and now they have pay financially through punitive damages so this does not happen again and in such a large amount to pursued them from ever doing it to anyone ever in the future!

This store lacks the attention to detail that I've found previously at other Giant stores. Sometimes there are none of the smaller carts available to use. The biggest problem I typically have with this store has to do with how items are stocked on the shelves or in the freezer units. I consistently find items stocked in the wrong place. Overstock of items that do not fit in the space provided just get stuffed in with others. For example, I've pulled several bags of coffee from the same line, only to find whole bean coffee mixed in with the ground coffee. In the freezer section, I will get something that is on a hook or shelf marked $6.99 but when I check out, the price is actually $9.99. This has also happened in several other sections of the store. You have to be careful to compare the package label to the shelf label, which can be difficult to read & understand due to the short abbreviations and code. I do like the layouts of Giant and shop here because it is familiar. The self-checkout is convenient and more people are becoming accustomed to using this option. I would like for this store to have the scanning guns available for shoppers to use because it makes it much more efficient to shop by simply scanning the item once when you bag it in your cart. This eliminates the need to move the item three times at checkout; from cart to scan, from scan to bag and then bag to cart again. I know stores must be concerned about shrinkage and theft but I think most people are honest enough to handle this responsibility. It works at the Hungerford Dr location.

An everyday supermarket, good variety of products, from veggies, meats, large frozen section. Also offer prepared foods like portions of chicken and rice for $2.99, makes a good lunch/dinner. Available mainly at lunchtime. Also whole roast chickens, in pieces and BBQ ribs. The only thing check the expiration dates in area as meats, sausages etc, I found expired ones.

Your typical Giant. It seems smaller than the one on hungerford drive. Went in to buy flowers,i wasn't disappointed. Fast check-out and easy parking.
