Wow no wonder so many negative reviews. I'm a Citi Priority Gold customer but it makes no difference. Awful customer phone service with a call center on the other side of the world who can barely understand a word of English and keeps disconnecting you whenever they have a bad connection, which is always, and awful service from the branches themselves. The associates over the phone will tell you to go to the bank. The associates at the branches say they can't help and it has to be done over the phone. What a real snafu. No wonder all the branches have closed. Used to like Citi. Now the name just rhymes with an apt description of how they handle things.

Money order or check if you want to pay anything like if its the 80's. Lol what type of bank doesnt take cash? You walk in here at 1630 and its empty. You go to BOA at 1630 and the line is out the door lol. I rather keep my money under my mattress than at citibank.

I agree with all the negative reviews about the customer service there. They could care less about your business. After 35 years as a Citi customer, I'm done! Too many other banks want my business . They are impossible to reach other than on- line. Why do they say they have you set up a Citi priority or have personal bankers? I have found it IMPOSSIBLE to set up an appointment and I don't have 2 hours to wait around to see the one person who might be on staff. Since the pandemic hit they completely understaff their branches, but the Rockville Pike location has to be the worst of all. I have only found a bad attitude by the bankers there. When I called to talk to management, Mr Arabian the Assistant Branch manager called me 24 hours later and it was not a good time for me to talk. I asked him to reach back out and sent an email letting him know when to contact me....still waiting 2 days later for a call back. The tellers are nice but cant help when you have an issue.

I wish I can give 0 star instead of 1. My parent-in-law are new immigrants and they want to open a basic checking account. So I took them to the branch. When the bank staff learned that they only needed a basic checking account and my parent-in-law don't have $5,000 as an initial deposit to open the account. The bank staff then lied to us and asked us to go back home to open the account online ourselves. Then we went back home and I tried to open the account online. The system was down and was kept giving error messages for 3 days. I tried to call another branch at Laurel, MD. The staff just said you can visit their branch to open the account for us. Apparently, the staff in Rockville branch is very unprofessional and lack of training compared to the staff in Laurel branch.

I opened a checking account under a promotion in sept 2019 and now it is mar 2020 and I still have not received my whole bonus ( bonus takes 90 days ) only part of it . I went to this branch 2 times and talked to Grace who opened the account and she keeps telling me they will fix it. I have to take off work each time to go, so I'm losing money every time. I also called her. When I called Citi Bank and ask for corporate, no ones has a number. I also called the number on the the letter I received in the mail regarding my bonus. It said if I had a problem call the number. When I did they could not help me because I opened the account in this branch not online and I must contact this branch. I'm a cancer patient in treatment and I really don't have time to keep following up on people over and over to make sure they are doing their job. It takes a lot out of me.

I came there because I lost my debt card and needed to get a temp card because I'm going out the states tomorrow. Two associates looked at me waiting for assistance. The one came out her office looked at me and ask the man who came in after me what can they help him with. I'm done with Citibank it's hard enough it's not alot of branches but to feel my business is any less appreciated is the last straw. I would advise anyone of color to avoid the Rockville Branch you might get a similar experience.

A really horrible service and bad experience here. They promised me a refer bonus but nothing happened after 8 months. I have to have my account open to wait for it. I tried to contact citi online but they just told me that I have to contact the branch. However, the branch repsisentitive just speak some really good words but no results yet. The phone number just ruined the citi’s reputation in my mind because it is almost no chance to access the branch by the phone. This is a nightmare for me.

If you need any Citi bank credit card services, you are SOL. They only do bank stuff apparently. This after I just visited the Bethesda Chase bank for similar credit card needs (that were answered).

HORRIBLE customer service. The attendant (Chinese)who was helping me with my account waved another customer that was on her way out of bank. She kept speaking to her in Chinese mandarin laughing and chatting away whilst I'm just waiting mid sentence.. I have NEVER had such awful service at any bank, I have noticed the last few times they cater to Chinese. CitiGold clients are well taken care of BUT if your not with CitiGold or Chinese you're not of interest and Customer service doesn't exist with Chinese as its not a part of their culture and I am speaking from experience. I already have accounts at other banks that are excellent with treating customers with respect. Good bye
