I'll admit that after all the horror stories I've heard about different wedding tailors it was pretty scary to surrender my special dress for alterations but I'm so glad I trusted Vickie with it! My dress had a cathedral train with extensive appliqués and beading and she did an absolutely lovely job with hemming it, as well as doing copious amounts of seamless repairs to the netting since it was a secondhand dress. Because it was so heavy, the dress hung really heavily on my shoulders and instantly gave me a rash when I put it on, but Vickie found a solution that allowed me to wear the dress for my entire wedding day with zero issues. I really appreciated the level of experience she had and her competitive pricing.

I would not take a wedding dress here again. A formal dress for a bridesmaid or dance would be fine, but the sense of urgency was lacking for me when it came to my wedding dress. It took two more appointments than I thought necessary due to her forgetfulness. The work was done well! It was just the process that didn't work for my personality type (high stress perfectionist). I had an evening dress that I had taken elsewhere for alterations and the dress was given back with horrible uneven altering and was basically unwearable. I looked for a different shop as last effort to see if anything could be done to fix it and came across Fit for a Gala. Vickie was so gracious with her time and took apart the previous adjustments and made the dress beautiful again. All within my short time frame before my event. Even if she hadn't have been able to fix what the previous shop did (it was bad), I would have enjoyed the conversation and time I spent there. Great service and prices my daughter found the perfect dress for her costume but it was a rad to big way way long. Vickie was able to alternate dress in 1 week and it looked amazing!! she made my daughter's haloween!

Had only a week to get a dress and ready for my daughter to go to a military ball. Ordered 2 dresses from Amazon first dress arrived 4 days before event and was 2 big so ordered an extra small in it. It arrived 2 days before event along with other dress I ordered but they sent me the completely wrong dress in an extra small size . My daughter liked the other dress that came in but also a little too big. So day before event I went in search of another dress and happened upon this shop. Told the lady my story and she said bring your daughter and the dress by later this afternoon and I’ll have it done by afternoon tomorrow. Absolutely love Vickie! She was so helpful. My daughter needed a dress last minute for a father daughter dance. Vickie helped find and age appropriate dress that fit her and she even did the alterations so that we were able to pick up for the dance the very next day.
