Initially rented a car for 10 days, had to extend the rental 2 extra days and my total went from $426 to over $900. When picking the car up we were told that we were getting a free upgrade, and “special” rate. We asked to opt out of insurance coverage due to having our own but the man at the counter told us that he was giving us a special rate and waiving the charge for insurance, and waiving the extra driver fee, so our total for 10 days would be $565. On top of all of this the car had a warning light come on the 1st day telling us to stop and check oil level, only to find out that there was practically no oil in the car, roadside assistance told us to add the recommended engine oil so we had to buy engine oil at a gas station, we also called the rental location and they told us to bring the receipts with us when we return the car. Once we returned after extending for 2 days they quickly printed our receipt before we could even make it inside after parking only to find out we were charged an extra $411 for insurance. They told us they can’t refund us because they already printed the receipt so if we want reimbursement for the oil, or insurance charges that we would have to call the 1-800 number. Thankfully after explaining what happened to customer service they issued a refund for the $411. I have never had an issue with Avis or Budget at this location, the cars are always nice and clean, but I feel like the person working was being dishonest and trying to rip us off. I know now to always triple check everything before renting and make sure I have everything in writing.

ALREADY RECOMMENDED🙌🏻 Awesome and very friendly service! I rented for 8 days and it was quite a bit cheaper than the other rental places. The pick up and drop off was faster and easier than I have experienced through other places. And the car was nice and clean😊

Only rating one star because that’s all it will let me this place is absolute junk!!!!!! Will not give me my deposit back when I returned the car perfectly fine gas tank filled up but I had to take someone else’s trash out of it half eaten doughnut in the door, also rice cakes in the trunk? Absolutely terrible service to add!

Would not rent a car to me because I do not have a credit card, but have rented from this location in the past. After reading the policies the information states that this location does accept debit cards for certain vehicle types. What I would like to know is if I had a reservation for your cheapest car why is it that I was unable to rent it ?

I am usually an enterprise customer but I couldnt find the car I needed on enterprise. So I decided, for the first time, to go with budget.I rented a sedan from this budget location and the experience was fine. But after about 3 weeks from returning the car with not a single scratch whatsover, I receive a claim from budget for 800$ that I had damaged the car (the entire front hull is claimed to be destroyed). How can the car have this extensive damage without me not even noticing OR not being pointed out when I returned the car? When I returned the car I had a person checking the inside and outside thoroughly. I wasnt informed of any damages until 3 weeks after I returned the car and the checkup was done at the drop off location. This should no be acceptable that this kind of damage not be pointed out at drop off since the car may have been damaged afterwards or this was a scam by Budget rent a car and Viking billing service. Be careful when renting with budget and ALWAYS take a picture of the car when u return it so you wont be a victim of this “mistake”. Update: After more than a year of this incident budget and viking billing service are still trying to rob me from my money now asking for half the amount that they claimed I owed them before. Beware when dealing with budget rent a car.

They quoted us a price ( an extra $200 ) that was understandable and we were happy with. The final bill showed charges of an extra $500 though. I really feel as though we were taken advantage of. Paid $356 for a mid size SUV from a Monday til Thursday, for a Mitsubishi Outlander that couldn’t have had any type of check up recently because it ran terribly. But honestly, the worst part about this place was the man behind the counter. He had 0 people skills. He was very short with responses, rude with his tone, and didn’t explain anything about how they would charge my card an extra $200 dollars on top of the $356 (charge was removed during our trip, then replaced with the $356 after the car was dropped off) Plenty of other places to rent cars from.. I’ll be avoiding this Budget at Tri State Airport just because of the rude man that works there

We picked up keys for rented vehicle. Went to lot and found it and to discover the vehicle had been wrecked and front bumper was taped on. I returned to office and showed the attendant a picture of the car. She didn't act surprised. Said she would upgrade us for a fee as there was not another car like we rented. I agreed. Then I said she should upgrade us for free since she tried to rent us a wrecked vehicle. Unwillingly, she agreed and processed a new contract. She offered no assistance in making sure the 2nd vehicle would be damage free nor explain operation of vehicle. -- we lost over 30 minutes picking up our vehicle. Very disappointed in customer service. Also the first vehicle smelled; it definitely had been smoked in. Attendant wasn't concerned with that comment. -- the second vehicle was damage free, smoke free but the windows were dusty and dirty. Looked like the car had been washed but not dried and dust settled on the car. We had to stop and clean the windows and mirrors.
