My family and myself have been a loyal customer of Cenex and the Consumers Coop for many years. They have always been great until recently. I was on vacation in March and received a call from the person watching my home stating that I had a drip coming from the condensation drain on my recently installed furnace(not installed by Consumers). So I called Consumers Heating and Cooling, and Drake the service manager said that they could get to it in the next day or two. The next afternoon I get a call that the drip was fixed. Got home looked at what was done on my furnace to see that they had put one 1 1/2" hose clamp on the drain pipe that the installer missed(6 miles from Sauk City .35 hose clamp and I assure you it took less than 5 min). The bill was $184.62. I called Drake to discuss the inflated bill, just for him to to be rude and ultimately reduce the charge by $42.66. Definitely will not be using or recommending "Consumers" for Heating and or Cooling. I will continue to utilize the Oil & Propane division as they have always been honest and great to work with.
