This place rocks! The kids wanted to try something new and the environment is SO empowering! As first time climbers, they were taught to handle their own gear safely and effectively. The climbing gym itself felt to them like an open book of opportunity. The confidence and smiles were overwhelming. We spent over 3 hours on a completely new activity and all were happy.

Fantastic experience for my 6yr old and 10yr old! My children also went to camp 3yrs in a row. One of the best camps in the valley!

First time I went here was 10 years ago. I loved it then and it has only gotten better over the past decade. The staff is friendly, patient helpful and definitely enthusiastic about helping YOU learn how to do this sport in a safe manner. They have numerous courses for all skill levels. We saw a little kid(4 or 5) climbing and repelling back down without needing any help due to the auto balay(lowering safety system). They had quite a few even for the BIGGER(I am late 30s and overweight) climbers. Plan around 1½-2 hours, especially if it is your first time. There is no need to worry about challenging yourself as the level of each climb is clearly marked and each step increases a little in difficulty. Nicholas helped us and got us all set up. It was the first time for my son who was really excited and Nicholas was kind and patient. Thank you AZONTHEROCKS, you guys ROCK!

Amazing climbing gym with great facilities. Especially the automatic belaying systems are a cool feature. Also staff was incredible, they are very knowledgeable and more than willing to help you get set up and even train you to climb safely!

First time ever in a rock climbing gym and the guys made me feel welcomed. They showed me how to climb safely and have fun doing it. Ended up signing up for the monthly on the way out. Don’t feel intimidated if it’s your first time climbing, this is a cool place with cool people. Highly recommend !

Holds are polished to the point of being nearly unusable on many routes. These are without a doubt the oldest holds I've ever touched out of the 30+ gyms I've visited. Lots of outdated, unnecessary, safety info. Nice place for small children/birthday parties I would imagine. Real climbers may want to visit Alta. Thankfully there are better gyms in town now.

Ben greeted me right when I walked into the door. As On The Rocks is always welcoming to the new comer and the experienced. I have recommended this gym to several friends and family members. There deal with the 6 and 12 month member ship is fantastic but no member ship is required. I highly suggest this location for your first experience!

I love this venue. It’s not about fitting multiple spaces in one building it’s about connection and expression of our playful and adventurous sides. To nurture the energy we have effectively in a safe environment. The staff is very respectful, kind and responsive. The equipment and facilities are clean, comfortable & welcoming. It’s certainly going to be a place you want to come back to again and again. You’ll want to support their business as much as you can because you believe in their purpose. Definitely makes me feel like that too!

Decent climbing gym with a fitness center upstairs. Bouldering is somewhat limited but only $11/day if you bring your own gear. Friendly staff.

The most fun you will ever have with your pants on. I would call it a workout but it's too much fun, it's like trying to solve a puzzle while on an endorphin high. I will definitely be back, might even move here. Brixx was very helpful and walked us through the things we didn't understand. One of my most favorite places in Arizona
