Friendly shop with quick service. I’d advise you to preemptively schedule a massage for after your ride. My taint hasn’t been this sore since I broke my sobriety in ‘94, ended up spending two weeks in a Bulgarian bath house, and fell in love with a wonderfully rotund man named Hristo. I’ll never forget you old friend, or the soft touch of your weathered hands. Anyways. Great selection of bikes for all types of riding and a very sweet shop dog.

THE BEST service and MOST FUN we had while visiting Tahoe! Harry at Tahoe Ebikes was so easy to coordinate with - he offered to drop the bikes off or have us pick them up. We ended up picking them up...Harry was so friendly and explained everything and even rode with us to the bike path to make sure we knew where we were going! We ended up riding the bike path all the way to Squaw, stopping along the Truckee River for lunch and then riding back to drop the bikes off. I can't believe how much fun it was!! We were able to do and see so much in one day thanks to the Ebikes...thank you Harry!

I review MTB products and thought I understood e-bikes pretty well but until you swing a leg over one and hit the trails you can't fully appreciate the technology. Me and my fiance' recently rented 2 Focus e-bikes from Tahoe Ebikes and went for a quick spin. We covered 13 miles in 1:28hrs with just over 2,000ft elevation gain. The e-Boost made climbing insanely fast/fun and a lot easier for this one-lunged rider but you will definitely put in work. The learning curve is short and the payoff is huge. You can log more miles in a shorter amount of time which works great for those who want a quick adventure or those who don't have the time or the fitness level needed to get up to many of the spectacular views Tahoe has to offer. Don't be fooled the by the e-bike classification. These are real full suspension mountain bikes that just happen to have an electric motor. They ride like a non-motorized bike in almost all respects and are very poppy and nimble at speed. I ride an Evil The Calling so I'm pretty spoiled yet this Focus e-bike had me grinning the entire time.

Renting from Tahoe Ebikes was an amazing experience! As a casual urban cyclist, I had no idea how much fun I could have on these ebikes. Harry was charming, knowledgeable, and had our whole group's ebikes dialled-in in no time. He then took us out to the trails above Kings Beach, not only did we benefit from his intimate knowledge of the routes, but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the way up the mountain. Boost mode for the win! These machines are insane. We ended up doing 2300 ft, 15.5 miles in 90 minutes, outrageous. You'll be sold on these ebikes faster than you can work your way through the gears.

This was a fantastic experience. Harry is friendly and prompt. The bikes are in great shape. You can choose different settings on the bike to allow you to ride normally, or with the e-assist. For anyone from lower elevations, the e assist is a great help that allows you to cover more ground in a shorter amount of time. It's also great for families that have younger kids who might not be able to keep up with stronger adults. It makes mountain biking a ton of fun, and don't worry, you still have the opportunity to get plenty of exercise! Thanks Harry!

Awesome experience. Great people. I own a couple bike shops and do rentals and these guys impressed me! They are excellent to deal with and take the time to set the bikes up and ensure the rider understands how to use them. You definatly should give them a go!

At first I was skeptical, the kinda "cheating" e bike thing but I've got to say that this was the most fun I've ever had on a bike. The climbs are assisted, but I found that "assisted" is all that you make it. If you push it in Eco or Trail you can get a very serious work out but you move WAY faster. It was amazing to be able to do multiple passes at downhills because I could go up so fast. The descending of the bike is just like any full suspension bike so it feels exactly like an amazing downhill run, who doesn't want to do multiple runs downhill in a day and still get some aerobic work in? AMAZING! It's kinda the best of both worlds... and Harry is super knowledgeable about trails and technique and even delivered my bike, I mean seriously?!?!?
