I normally will ONLY do positive reviews and abstain from the negative trap, but I have to make an exception in this case. This is 100% my opinion based upon my experience(s) at this store. I have to give them 1 star to do the review--they don't allow zero or negative stars. Horrible store. Prices are just stupid at this point, and they go up more frequently than every week--particularly since the new ownership group took over, not that they were much better prior. These increases are way beyond the "covid" or "supply chain" excuse that has become so popular--this is about elevating profits post-purchase. The service is SLOW, understaffed 100% of the time, and most of their employees either don't want to be there or are miserable an buying time until they can retire and get out. Good luck getting a paper bag--it's plastic all the way, to save money--but the employees have been coached to lie about availability, fact is, they don't order because they cost more than plastic! Stock status is sparse and consistently unreliable. Your best hope is to do their work yourself, but they shut down the self-check out stations early, leaving no choice but to hit those horrible lines, that move slower than traffic on HWY 80 near the bay bridge. After 7 years, I've made my last trip, I'll see how Safeway does. Makes one feel anything but Lucky.

Unprofessional cashier kept saying two customers (elders) were being rude to him when they were just waiting to pay. I guess the manager even came and told him to honor a price change. The horrible cashier kept arguing with this poor lady about the price. I wanted to butt in but the women weren't mad they just wanted to get out of there. I usually pay through self check out and will now only do self check out in this location. Poor form on that male cashier, definitely needs to be relocated to the stock room.

I live pretty close to this store and its clean and well priced so I’m in here all the time. Today i ran in just for some cheese and garlic bread , which they didn’t have so i got their sweet french bread, which is great. When i got home and cut it and tasted it it was SOUR DOUGH bread. I know lots of people like it but i do NOT. If this were the first time I wouldn’t care but we went to get some sweet french 2 weeks ago and got home and it was Garlic Bread. And less than a month ago once again a Sweet French was a SOUR DOUGH i called the store manager after the second time and again today and got the same story. Oh new people. We will take care of it and replace your bread next time you come in, which i haven’t asked for. Just fix the problem ! .

This evenings team at Lucky's take great care of there guests from the time you walk in the door!! The blond hair , young man bagging groceries is very intuitive with a guests needs! Thank you all!😁

I really like this Lucky's. It is smaller but tends to have everything I usually get and lots of options. Great produce section and I love the deli! The deli tends to get really raided before dinner time so if you have a fav, pick it up earlier than the 5:30 rush hour or chances are it will be gone. I love that they have baggers still! Be patient, many of them are high school or college age and might not bag exactly how you would want. I always support working students & training ppl so I have never had a problem past making my bags a little heavy.

I entered the store and had plans to cook dinner, to my surprise the deli had a variety of dishes prepared so Chicken wings (BBQ AND HOT WINGS) CESAR SALAD AND FOR DESSERT AMBROSIA. NOT TO BAD. Didn't have to cook and it didn't break the bank. All in all 2 thumb up.

Love the new look! The hot food and fresh salad bars are great, and my family has enjoyed the by-the-scoop frozen quick meals. All the employees are very helpful and friendly - meat and produce especially.

Lucky's on California Blvd. Is a large store. They always have a beautiful selection of produce. There is a bakery where you can order cakes. They have a gift area including helium balloons and greeting cards, there is a wine and liquor section as well as a pharmacy. The store is always clean and the people working there are friendly. Nice store to go grocery shopping in.

A big, clean and well stocked and organized supermarket. Staffs were very helpful too. Like my experience there.

I regularly shop here so in my very biased opinion I think this store is great. I know where just about everything is and I usually am able to get thru the check out fairly quick.
