Great place. They made room for my dog who was having seizures and NO OTHER vet in ojai would help. Everyone should try this Vet Hospital for yourself then decide. The Doctor is outstanding and the staff show compassion for your pet.

I originally took my dog to Ojai Village Vet for about a year and a half, but the five times I took him there, he was seen by a different agency vet every time, and we ended our relationship when they couldn’t get an appointment for my dog for over five weeks. Dr. Shouse is a serious person, but he he is reliable, consistent, and he will pick up the phone himself to talk about your animal. My dog is elderly and I know that the dreaded time is getting closer. I’m happy to have a serious, experienced vet and wonderful staff to guide me through the tough decisions that lie ahead.

These people are amazing, Carolyn was so helpful. I was under stress and really had to get help for my kitty. I am a new patient to them & they have gone above and beyond to help me. This a practice that really cares.

I found the vet to be a bit demeaning. Also had a very difficult time getting anyone on the phone, they should consider upgrading their phone system considering that during the pandemic people have to call to see anyone. The support staff were nice. My previous vet was much more thorough in his explanations and explaining possible treatments.

Just wanted to note that our family just adopted a rabbit from the Agoura Hills shelter. We were given a voucher for a wellness check by the Agoura Hills Animal Shelter. When we called Ojai Pet Hospital, vet office of Dr. William Shouse to see if they would accept the voucher, they initially said yes. When I arrived later that day to have the Rabbit seen, I was later told they would not accept the voucher because it was not from Ojai, so I said okay. Then they proceeded to charge me twice the amount for the wellness check of the rabbit, to the point where even the vet's young assistant asked why they were doing this, and they said because it was an 'exotic pet.' I obviously felt some kind of way. I don't know what changed from when I was on the phone to when I arrived to their office but it did not feel right.

My poodles are thrilled to have found a Doctor and Vet and Staff who truly care about our poodles, Bruno The Poodle and Prince Rupert The Poodle are healthier. They are much better thanks to changing their diet per the Doctors advice and their coats are soft shiny are vibrant. Thank you Dr Shouse and Staff! You're the best in the West.

My 19 year old cat required a tumor removed. Over all very good experience. Staff, Dr Shouse, Auroa, and Carolyn were all very friendly, and helpful over the phone. Due to COVID only personal contact was with Nicole the technician. She was very knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring...thank you

Our dogs are new to the Ojai Pet Hospital. We have had wonderful pet care and the staff is very friendly. Recently our dog had to have his teeth cleaned and some routine blood work performed. The Dr. Called and checked on our dog to make sure everything was going fine. Appreciate the extra care!

New puppy and a cough was concerning us. Walking in the door made us feel better and the Doctor was just great, explained everything and gave meds and within a few hours at home the cough had almost subsided. It actually is the best from entering to leaving. Would recommend it to anyone.
