Today was my second visit to the Sammy's Camera store in Pasadena this week and with the help of the very friendly & knowledgeable staff I found just the right 35mm digital SLR for me along with all the accessories that I wanted. I've depended on Sammy's Camera since 2008 when I first discovered their Santa Barbara location and I'm still getting the same excellent service here in Pasadena.

Great people (Jason and Patrick) who took the time to explain different options within my budget. Not a high pressure store at all. Loved these guys. I needed a camera to take action photos at my son's high school football games. Samy's put me into an awesome camera that fit my level of experience and budget. HOMERUN! Thank you, Samy's.

Took our high schooler in to buy his first camera. He had a modest budget but that didn't change the sales person's approach. Our son was treated with respect and the sales person was informative, friendly and helped him find a camera he loves.

My experience with Samy's Camera is usually good, however I am quiet disappointed that they would email me stating they would purchase my lens only for them to back out of the offer. As stated in an email sent my Samy's: "For the Sigma 105mm f2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro we would offer $150.00 in Canon/Nikon/Sony mounts." They also stated, "Subject to inspection. You can also take your gear in to any Samy's camera for a firm offer." Unfourtunately this was an absolute lie. I ended up driving 45 minutes only for one of the employees to ask me what lens I'm selling, followed by *not* even inspecting the lens, only for the offer to be "trade-in only" rather than what they emailed me. Ridiculous. This was my first time back at this location (Pasadena) in a couple of years. I would definitely head to a different location than Pasadena.

Fantastic Jackie of Pasadena and what a great experience I had with her. She is a pleasure to speak with, is very informative, and highly intelligent. I made a significant purchase for my business. Jackie is always responsive and has given me professional advice regarding some of the equipment, and she was right on when I received it. Other team members could learn quite a few good things from her and the way she interacts with customers. Never pushy or anything like that, she tells it like it is and informs you too. I appreciate that Samy's has her on board. I hope she is in leadership as she can only make the company better by having her. Her salesmanship is natural and caring. When you care about the customer and their success, you naturally give good information for the benefit of the customer. I'm very fortunate to have met her and had her as my sales representative.

I have shopped with Samy's Camera for over 25 years, and have only had good experiences. I now shop with them from out of state and still Samy's is my go to camera supply shop. Just placed a order on Wednesday, it was packaged and shipped the next day, and I received it Saturday. Awesome, product and professional service. Don't waste your time with others, just shop the pros.....stick with Samy's Camera no matter where you live.

I was a first time customer and I would suggest this store to any & all camera owners. Employees all had wonderful customer service from walking in the store to walking out. I was helped by Patrick and was very impressed with the customer service but as well with the help he had given to solve issues on my own personal camera, also was helped by Art with an on point sensor cleaning that left my camera good as new! First time coming here and definitely won't be the last ! Highly recommend! Excellent customer service!

This place is a ripoff. I went to the Pasadena store, I told the guy that my camera had not been used in over 2 years he said that batteries can die after 2-3 years so I said let me get a replacement. He got the battery and my camera worked, he said the price for the new battery was 59.00 You see before I came to Samy's I also checked prices at Amazon and Ebay and the batteries and a chargers were between 11-12 dollars. Samy's is not ethical and they are a disgrace for taking advantage of customers. l left the battery and left the store. I am not paying this much when I can get a charger and a battery for 12 dollars and left. Advice never shop at Samys Pasadena they will rip you off if you let them

Samy's is great. Friendly, knowledgeable. They have a decent selection for a relatively small store (Pasadena) and the rental department is usually well-equipped.

I came to this store in Pasadena. My camera was not working and because I had not used this camera in over two years I thought it was the battery, the guy said that batters can last 3-4 years so I ask for one he processed it and said after taxis it was $ 59.00 You must do research before you buy something. I check battery prices at both Amazon and eBay. Average $12 dollars. $59.00 is a total ripoff. Shame on Samy’s Camera for trying to take advantage of your customers, I will never buy anything at your store and further I will let everyone know what a rip-off you are.
