I came in with out a appointment it did take while but they found the problem I now have a appointment and they will order the parts needed then they fix my truck and then it will pass smog

Called the parts stores and nobody had a starter for my Truck. I had Napa order one for me. I went to Antelope Auto repair as they are a Napa Auto Care center to have them replace my starter. I informed him that nobody had one but I ordered one from Napa which is where they were going to get it. They informed me that they would not install it because I purchased it from Napa even though they were going to purchase it from Napa. I paid $142 for the same starter Antelope was going to charge me $245 for even though they would pay far less than my $142 as they get a heavy discount being a Napa Auto Care center. Antelopes cost is probably $85-90. I could see them not wanting to install parts that other people bought from discount stores or online. However when a customer comes to you with a part that they ordered from Napa and the exact same part you would get from your supplier (Napa) because no one had it and that you would have to order which would delay the repair another day you think that they would not care so much about the price gouging as much as making the labor money doing the repair while taking care of the customer and maybe gaining a customer for life. I know they have to mark things up to help cover expenses and make a living however just flat out gouging a customer is a little wrong. So you want me to return my Starter to Napa so you don't have to order it and so you can buy it from Napa and charge me a $100 more. Your sign says it all Antelope Auto Repair. It does not say Antelope Auto Parts. I completely understand not installing customer parts as a policy. Sometimes you have to be smarter than what's black and white as a businessman. The customer has a part and the exact part that you need to repair the customer's vehicle and yet you would rather turn business away and back off the repair another day because you'd have to order that same part is just foolish. I understand flat rate and list prices and all that garbage as I was in the same business for 50 years but I also understand smart business.

I have a check engine light on and told them it's due to the transmission fluid needs to be changed. They still ran it and charged me even though it failed for what I told them why the light was on...... they didn't charged my jeep when the light was on then I asked about the codes and I was told "to figure it out" aren't yall a auto center? Why was I charged and turned away?

They were great called for appointment to get car smogged and got an appointment the next day. I was in & out in 30 minutes maybe less. They did a fantastic job. Will be going back in for next smog. 😊

Over the phone and in person, the lady (forgot her name), was just amazing. She was willing to help, took my car, had the mechanic look at it, answered all my Qs, and the price was very reasonable. Very helpful and honest.
