I like to buy veggies and shrimp cocktale. I got a mini cup of the shrimp cocktale it was great ! Really tasty ! Definitly better than befor and I really like the variety of drinks they have. I got a pistashio drink it was okay a little on the plain side but it will pass..the lines get a little long but the line goes pretty quickly

Great prices for vegetables! Tasty candies and the shrimp cocktail was made very tasty this time . Even if it was all premade sauce or made by scratch, it was well put together.Lines get a little long just like any other place, the checkers get you thru as fast as they can.

Visited Cardenas San Jacinto Sunday, July 17th for a quick few items. Upon approach to check out the young Clerk - Melanie A. was finishing ringing up a beautiful late 70 early 80’s aged woman. Melanie A bagged items in customers bag and Instead of acknowledging customer while payment transaction was being conducted and further assisting older customer by putting heavy bag in ladies cart, Melanie A removed her face mask and procedure taking Selfies at the check out counter as older female customer struggles to load her cart. Upon my turn to be checked out Melanie A, did not acknowledge me as she should have. I was held up from paying for my purchase as older female customer continued struggling to load her cart.. I was not aware that Cashier Clerks are being paid to stand at check out counter ignoring customers and take Selfies. I did call the store and after 8 minutes on hold Store Employee came back on line asking who I was holding for. This was my 2nd time in those 8 minutes requesting the manager on duty. My call was then conveniently disconnected. I will be calling the Customer Service Number and I will be completing Store Survey. I am amazed how employees use employers time and treat customers. I don’t believe I will shop Cardenas stores again.

What a nightmare. At least 20 people waiting to check out with 1 register and 4 self check out. The self checkout registers are garbage. Such a struggle to ring yourself up. You’d think with the money they save from not having as many employees they’d get equipment that work properly. Prices are cheaper down the road at Bargain Market grocery outlet.

Store was fine. Food counter where they prepare food has not been the same since new employees have been inserted there. Food still tastes amazing but burritos are filled with way more rice and beans than before. And some employees give more meat than others.

No matter where I shop for groceries I end up doing my produce at Cardenas they do need to work on the meat department and regular cuts of meat like ribeyes & Chuck-eye steaks. Hot food is better than half the restaurants in the area. But I need a little LESS chili peppers Serrano peppers IN the shrimp cocktail and ceviche. Still good I just have to pick them out lol

Very Hispanic culture centered. I really enjoyed the feel. Food accessories pretty much what you can get at any market, the extras here is that you can get also very culture centered items that you won't find at other markets.

Unbelievable selection of super fresh produce at great prices! This amazing Mexican-American market has some of the most hard-to-find spices and specialty items that I will frequently drive down to Mexico to find! Great customer service! Super friendly and knowledgeable bakers in the bakery section with amazing!!! Selection!!! Of fresh birthday cakes & authentic Mexican baked goods! Highly Recommend this fantastic market!
