I would like to start the review with couple of folks who helped me in the Citi bank San Rafael Location. 1) Dilek Michelle Potash - Long story short, I felt like she doesn't understand how anything works in the Citi. Her responses multiple times are like " Sometimes customer service doesn't answer my phone too" and "I don't know what to do, can you call customer service" . If you want any help, better to look for a different personal banker. You've been warned. 2) Gabriel G Ortiz - Gabriel is the second banker, I believe he is an assistant bank manager. I felt like he is a lot more knowledgeable than Dilek and genuinely wants to help you but handicapped with Citi's work policies and access issues. He tried his best to help me but after while he stopped responding to my emails. (Guessing he realized that he won't be able to help me so he just stopped answering my emails) Finally, just don't bank with these guys. Pooooooor customer service. I was not able to access my funds for 2 months and no one was able to help getting my funds back. This includes more than 10 times visiting the Citi San Rafael location, over 40-50 calls to Customer Service phone number, only for the representatives to hang up the calls on your face. I opened a CFPB case against Citi adn all of a sudden, balls start rolling and within a week, I got my funds back. So if you are in my shoes, just don't waste time calling them or visiting the bank location. Just open a case with CFPB.

Absolutely useless, incompetent staff at this branch! For dozens of years I needed nothing from Citibank, just kept my money there, so all was fine. When you need something that can't be done via your online account though, no matter how basic, that's when the trouble begins. I called Citibank first thing in the morning, but since this branch only opens at 10:00AM, my call got forwarded abroad. Those foreign representative couldn't even understand English enough to grasp the problem, let alone resolve it. So I had to wait until 10:00AM to be able to speak to someone at the San Rafael branch. The person who took my call proved completely incompetent. First she put me on hold to find out what I was talking about, and when she came back, she just dismissed me by telling me to call the generic Citi number. Now I'm back where I started, with hours wasted, no resolution for my problem, and nowhere else to turn.

If I could give this branch a negative score I would!!!! BEWARE- the entire branch is incompetent and rude. I closed an account there in March (supposedly), only to find out now (October), that it still remains open, and that my “closed account” was charged numerous times fraudulently by Citibank and other misc. merchants! How does that happen?! Now, I’m dealing with a huge mess due to their negligence. DON’T USE CITIBANK! I’m beyond disgruntled.

Worst branch. I have opened a Citi Priority account and the relation ship officer has left the branch but I did not receive any notification. Even the customer care does not give any details about the relationship officer. They promised me a promotional offer but now they say it is not available.

This brach never answered the phone 99 out of 100 times. If you actually visit their branch, no customer, yet they still won't answer your call. It's better to call Customer Service number on back of your debit card. This is the only branch opening in North Bay. I recommend using a different bank if you are in North Bay.

These people are excellent! I go in every month. Each time, the clerks are friendly, prompt and thorough. This bank couldn't be better, in my opinion!

Awful service. Rarely, if ever, answer the phone. I've been trying now for more than two weeks to get access to my father's account as POA (he's currently in the hospital), but still to no avail. No call backs when they promise them. Emails to them might as well be useless. I'm not sure why the rep even gave me her email if she doesn't respond to them. I'll be pulling my money out of here as soon as this nightmare is over.

You are not a customer ... do whatever possible - all necessary means - to not bank here. Spare yourself the abuse. Imagine a business that can be profitable with a model like this. At some point their profitability will finally dry up and they'll spend millions on "focus groups" to find out why. (system would not permit posting without at least one star)

I have a debit card issued through my employer. I used it to withdraw money from my account. One of the bills was torn so badly that you can call it a bill! I went inside the bank to exchange it but the manager refused to do because I don’t have a checking account with them even though I get money deposited regularly in my card. They have worst customer service and worst management I have seen ever. No body should ever entrust them with their financials as they don’t have the knowledge or courtesy on how to deal with people. Worst bank ever!
