Already backed up with a full waiting room by 8:30am with no receptionist and an online sign in system that confused all of the elderly patients. The digital sign in is great but not without the ability for people to get help or ask questions.

I went there to get the appt time I could meet. Old building (ok but do something), dirty doors..white but black on all door contact points, old people coming in thinking they can check in on the app there. Then sitting down for 20 minutes. One in a wheel chair. 20 minutes later, told we dont take Walk ins . Sent away. They were 80 and made appt on a land line. Then me. Great veins(critical care rn)gets stuck several times. Went to car. Bleeding lots, came back in for help. Not on anticoagulants. Very short staffed. 2 phlebotomists doin their best but no other staff. Also, freezing in there. Quest is a joke at this location at least

Made an appointment for 11:15am and they “close” at 11am for the rest of the day honestly makes no sense and I seriously hate this company been having so many issues just tryna get an employee drug test and they don’t offer it at any quest places anymore :(

I've had my blood drawn by Quest at the Las Gallinas lab on numerous occasions in the past four years, and have always been very pleased. The people who work there are kind and highly competent. There's a similar situation at the Quest lab at 5 Bon Air in Larkspur, where I've gone a few times: all good. But today I made the terrible mistake of going to the Quest lab at 711 D Street in San Rafael for a routine blood test. The national Quest policy is to take patients with scheduled appointments before walk-in patients, and the Las Gallinas lab adheres strictly to that policy. Not so 711 D Street. I arrived there before my scheduled time (scheduled online seven days previously), and the receptionist called another patient in the waiting room who was a walk-in with no appointment. I politely protested, and was rudely derided by the receptionist, who furthermore made false and nonsensical arguments justifying her decision. She ordered me to wait in the waiting room. As I did, four other patients came in, all in rapid succession, and none observed the CDC-defined social-distancing protocols. The room is small, and it would be difficult to maintain six feet clearance from other people even if everyone was on board with that approach. Unfortunately, none of the four patients showed any awareness of the value of staying six feet away from me or the others. Nor did the receptionist ask them to do so. At that point, I felt I was potentially in danger of being exposed to COVID-19, and I left. There's more that went wrong there at 711 D Street, but I've said enough to provide a clear picture.

I had a quick, easy and painless experience getting my blood drawn. However, I MADE AN APPOINTMENT. There were people waiting for over 30 min without an appointment and I was in and out in 15 min. They take appts over walk-ins and it is super easy to make an appt so DO IT. Andrea is lovely and very efficient. She found my vein on the first try and it was painless. The Quest business model is totally odd; they have 1 person doing everything--greeting, inputting info, payment, drawing blood, EVERYTHING. Seemed like a tough place to work, but again, I had a great experience.

Glad to have been sent to this Quest lab! Convenient location, ample parking, very pleasant office space. I had an appointment but there was no one waiting and I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. Colette did an excellent blood draw and was friendly and knowledgeable.

Just got back from "D" St. I was in and out in less than ten minutes. Believe me over the years I have spent hours with the technicians trying to fine one vein to draw just a little bit of blood. I can not Thank (TINA) enough; she made my whole day a lot brighter. Once again "THANK YOU".
