Oct 7th. Gas is climbing and it’s ridiculously priced. From $6.05 to $6.39 a gallon and diesel is $6.42. Not the state of California fault but greed of the gas and oil industry. I have been a customer for over 25 years in the Danville area. I have always had an excellent experience at the location. It is always been head and shoulders above the rest. The only disappointing reason that they don’t have five stars is because their inventory has diminished. Many of my favorites have disappeared and more importantly, the quantities of diminished they recently did a remodel which seem to take forever but now the day are done it is a beautiful, elegant isles are wide, and the grocery store is coordinated in a way that makes sense.

Good: variety and staff. Bad: the quality of the fresh food and produce is consistently poor. Common to find outdated foods or bring home fruit that is already spoiled inside. This is consistent over 2 years now.

They've done a beautiful job remodeling the store. Absolutely beautiful. They have have everything and beautifully displayed. We've been going there for over 20 years. A few of the people who first started out there bagging are now managers. My only gripe? They need to update the credit card/ATM computer system. The system throws a fit and won't read card with " chips" sometimes. The checkers have to deal with it all day long. We had to run ours four times. You know how much patience people have these days. We do shop other stores I admit for some other items that are not carried or just ridiculously expensive to buy there. We do love the staff. They are very, very sweet and kind. We are trying to get a group together and go to a A's game and tailgate to show our appreciation. They're that nice. We always try to be nice to everyone.

Best Safeway! Great employees with exception of a few bad eggs. I drive from San Ramon when I have the time just to shop this store. They are never out of stock on my fave items like other safeways. I spend WAY more $ then intended every time!

A REALLY HUGE “SHOUT OUT” to Jordan in Customer Service, who assisted me when I missplaced, of all things, my WALLET at self check out! I didnt realize it until 30-45 mins after i had left the store. Totally in panic mode, Jordan was a calm and friendly voice and made eye contact with me when i walked into the store and asked if I was the woman that had just called! Someone did turn in my wallet, all contents intact!! Thank you to the anonymous shopper who did the right thing and brought my wallet to customer service! Jordan & Anonymous made my day & I will be forever grateful! This has been my neighborhood Safeway for some time now (love the gasoline perks especially NOW!), but this has made me a Bollinger Safeway loyalist for life!

This review is in regards to the pharmacy. A few days ago I filled out the online questionnaire and made an appointment for my 49 year old husband to get his second Covid booster. I got a confirmation for him and all looked good but then after checking in to his appointment and being told to wait for his name to be called for the vaccine,, one of the employees came out and said he could not get his shot because he wasn't 50 years old! There was literally no one else waiting and when I made the appointment, there was tons of availability. In other words, not many people are lining up like before but they are discriminating against people that want a second booster?! Just terrible. My husband works in an environment where he could easily be exposed and I think it is really sad that Safeway pharmacy/Albertsons is not more pro-health for everyone at this point regarding COVID! Also, I answered the online questionnaire correctly and it validated he could go ahead and make an appointment so why did they not give him the vaccine?!...

I go to Safeway ever week, and it's always amazing! They have amazing deals, and great products. I wish they'd add a bike/scooter stand indoors, as there are lots of people who come via Bike/Scooter. Also, the Starbucks in Safeway is always understaffed, and is always out of stock of something. In fact, one time they were out of coffee! Other than that, Safeway is great!!

One of the better organized Safeway out there. Best part is the sandwiches and sushi bar in the corner. Always had great experience for a 24h store. Tends to be expensive compared to other places.
