Acme is a very solid option for tasty coffee and friendly service in Seaside (just over the border from Monterey). You can also purchased freshly roasted beans from them. FYI: they do not have a public restroom.

UPDATE 7 Months Later: I come here basically every day now and it has become a part of my routine. I now have a shirt, a hoodie, a mug, and plenty of stickers. I am now a certified Acmeholic, Acme will be the thing I miss the most after I move. (Previous Review) I have only been here twice and I already love it. The coffee is absolutely excellent (I have tried their motor city blend and bali blend both medium roast). While I may be a little biased because I have not tried any other local coffee shop in the area yet, so far this is my favorite. It’s more than just the coffee, The staff is very kind, yet still very efficient. Every time I order and see them making different drinks, they work like a well oiled machine. While, again, this is only my second time visiting, I have already bought a bag of their medium roast and was tempted to buy a shirt 😂. I hope to be a regular here haha.

At Acme they truly customize your coffee. Which is very different than just offering "specialty" coffees like a Latte or Americano. The usually have a short line in the morning of maybe 5 - 7 people but it moves quickly. So it's perfect if you're in a slight hurry.....but please be kind to them and let them do their job. They're actually pretty good at it and it feels like they add a little love to every cup. That's what makes them superior. They have dark, medium and light roasts, about 10 choices total, with names like "Power Glide" (a medium roast) and "Motor City" (a light roast). I'd say, definitely get a pour over. The baristas are friendly so go ahead and ask a few questions, if you like. But, I'd recommend NOT mixing the levels (like dark mixed with light) unless you actually like extremely powerful body in your cup. I definitely enjoyed my mix tho! Finally, my friend Emily says this place is "Mountain coffee that'll put hair on your elbows". Haha! I definitely agree. Try them, you just might come back for a second cup.....

We found Acme when we were visiting from Morgan Hill for a few days. The coffee is amazing and needless to say we went back 3 times in 3 days, lol. I just ordered one of their zip up sweatshirts and I absolutely LOVE it. If you want great customer service and AWESOME coffee, check them out!

Great coffee! The neat thing about a roasting company is that they can experiment with the beans as much as they want & make some pretty cool creations. The coffee my husband got had notes of popcorn in it. They coffee I ordered had notes of caramel & brown sugar. It was very good coffee! They took they're roasting building & opened a coffee bar on the side of it. You walk up & order your coffee and pastry. It would be nice if the parking spots in front of the building were blocked off so people couldn't park there. There were probably 6-10 people in line & cars kept parking right in front of the building. Also, there was no place to sit & enjoy breakfast, it would have been nice if there were some picnic tables. And lastly, the pastries were not warmed up, I had a ham & cheese croissant that would have been ten times better if it was warm, my husband said the same about his quiche.

Now this is what you call coffee! Strong and flavorful, the jelly filled donut was phenomenal!!! The right amount of sweetness and a little bitter, omg.
