After lots of shopping around we found our perfect diamond engagement ring in the estate jewelry at De Paula Jewelers in Essex So beautiful! Phil cleaned and checked it for us before our engagement party and reminded us to come in again and have it cleaned before our wedding. We made a point to stop in and say hello and have this done. It’s kind of great to feel like you have your own personal jeweler.

How fortunate we are to have The DePaula Jewelry Store in Essex. The store sells unique pieces of jewelry,including one of a kind creations by Mr.DePaula. They also have a beautiful selection of Estate jewelry. I have always had a wonderful shopping experience at this store. Philip is a perfectionist repairing jewelry. I strongly recommend this gem of a store.

I was in a rush wanting to buy gorgeous earrings for my daughter to wear at her wedding. Within a couple of days he created the most fabulous chandelier earrings using pearls and diamonds from the estate jewelry. I was amazed.

He even bought our wedding rings there, and when we're in town, Phil is kind enough to clean them up for us. You wrote a review for DePaula Jewelers 3 weeks ago 5.0 star rating 6/21/2018 I went to De Paula Jewelers in Essex today to see if the jeweler could mount my mom's engagement diamond in a gold pendant that I had. He made a few suggestions about how to have it mounted and let me decide which one I would like. He had it finished within a few hours and I absolutely love it. I will now have my mom's diamond near my heart every time I wear it.

The first time I used him, he did a nice job on drilling and mounting a pearl on a ring. The second and third time he was not interested in fixing or spot welding some gold, "too fiddly" he said. He is only interested in working on larger projects. Little does he know I have several larger gold projects but I won't use him due to his superior and rather unfriendly attitude. I give him 2 stars because he does nice work but who needs to deal with a difficult personality when there are others good jewelers who are pleasant.
