very bad service - they need more help. first guy barely paid attention to us and we kept having to search for him. chose 2 suits and then the tailor told us they were too big and she helped pick out ones that would not need as much alteration. came back to pick them up and only 1 set of pants was done. came back in a week and both pairs of pants and neither jackets were altered - and they were arguing amongst themselves who should clean the mens room. finally went back the 3rd week later and it was all complete.

The manager was very unprofessional And rude. We went there looking for suits since we ordered online but we didn’t get them and we are leaving overseas. We came and told her our issue but she seems not interested to help in anyway. They were 4 people at the store. An elderly man who was working and moving around, while the 2 girls and a young man who suppose to be a second manager went and sat down scrolling their iPads. What was frustrating is the way they laughed and totally ignored us. We were looking for suits with the idea to buy them and return the other 2 that didn’t arrive. No one came to help. We finally decided to do it on our own. We got to the register to pay and I had to mention how unhappy we were with their attitude and unprofessionalism. She asked us to leave “her” store. We were shocked with her behavior. It’s sad to see how customer service has become these days.

Where do I start with this horrid establishment. To start things off they didn’t record 2/10 of the groomsmens suit measurements so they had to go back a week before the wedding to get re-fitted. On top of that, the groom requested slim fit for everything. Not one thing was slim fit that we tried on, the jackets were LONG and airy, the pants were baggy as heck, like it was 1999 defjam clothing, and the shirt fit like a pirate. Extremely baggy, and the woman described it as “baloony”. When I personally went in to try my suit on for the first time, she handed it to me and said have a nice day. She did not ask me to try it on, even after knowing there had been issues with our parties suits. I said can I try this on and get pinned out? Oh sure yes, wel the tailor isn’t here so how it fits is how it fits, but you should be good. For $280 to rent this suit, I’d have been better off having ray charles fit me. To top it off, when I got home and tried on both shoes(only tried one on in the store), I noticed specs of either dirt or puke on them(photo attached). With everything going on in the world you’d think they would hold themselves to a high standard of sanitizing and cleaning their garment. To make things better, the two times I went to the store multiple employees sitting on their phones not helping customers. The manager yelled at them in front of customers, very unprofessional and made it awkward to even be in there. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, and I will go out of my way to never let somebody shop here and waste their money.

My go to store for suits has been Jos A Banks in Cos Cob. However the store was closed down and I went to the location in Fairfiled. To begin with the service was horrific! I encountered 3 young men none of whom had a clue about their suits. They didn’t know where things were and were of ZERO help. Also as I looked through their selection on my own I found what they had in the way of suits and suit separates was extremely limited. I’ve got to say with all sincerity this store needs an overhaul or it needs to be shut down.

I chose Jos A. Bank for my wedding because I assumed it would make it easy and convenient to get myself and my groomsmen setup with a suit. Unfortunately, it was the polar opposite of that, and I had a horrid experience. For my suit alone, I was given false information as to what I was actually getting from my purchase. In addition, the finished product was wrinkled and stray threads were everywhere. As for the suit I picked for my groomsmen, the cloth I selected for the vest was apparently discontinued which was only discovered after my best man went into his local shop. I found out that the Fairfield employee I worked with added zero notes to the order, so I had to not only call but drive in to get this squared away. The level of incompetence I dealt with was baffling. All of my groomsmen contacted me due to the ambiguity of the order which is bizarre to me as I thought they would only need to provide the group number to get fully setup. This entire experience added an unnecessary layer of stress and anxiety to the wedding planning. I wouldn’t recommend Jos A Bank to my worst enemy, and if you are reading this please consider another store. P.S. I wish zero stars was an option as it is far more applicable.

Went with my husband who needed a jacket & shoes which is always hard for him to find the right fit. We went to Danburys store and it was amazing Andrew helped us and we were in and out in 20 mins. My husband was thrilled, he loves what he purchased and couldn't believe how amazing Andrew was. We will be going back again.

I paid over $300.00 for a custom fitted suit and had Jos. A Bank do the tailoring as well. This is what I got in return… l visited the store on 4 different occasions in 5 weeks because they had kept making a mistake. But I gave them chance after chance to redeem themselves. The manager Steven worked directly with me and the day before the wedding, the suit was returned to me still way too big on the pants, double press marks all over the pants, stitching missing and holes at the bottom. I was told word for word, “our machine is broken, I don’t know what else you expect from us. If you want, take it to Milford and see what they say.” This is how you treat customers? Don’t go here if you are looking for a suit, tux, etc. They will do the same thing to you. I hate to leave a bad review and I support local businesses but these people straight up had taken my money and said not our problem after I ordered the suit 5 weeks before the wedding and was promised it would be done and not ruined way before that.

Went here with my dad and brother to get suits for my wedding. We were able to get 3 suits and some other nice things like ties, shoes, belts and shirts for a great price. The staff was super helpful and professional. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone who needs to get a new suit or nice clothes. Giving this place five out of five stars.

Walked in 3-4 years ago trying to buy a suit. The only employee working was helping someone else, he walked by as I was just browsing selection, and told me “I’m helping someone else, I’ll help you after, but you’re going to have to wait and that’s just how it’s going to be.” I walked out immediately. Fast forward 3-4 years to a few weeks ago, hoping that staffing had changed (and improved), I went in to set up tuxedo rentals for a wedding with several groomsmen. The manager not less than 3 times told me that he highly recommends that the groom purchase a custom fitted tuxedo after I had already mentioned that I had no use for a tuxedo after the wedding and that I wanted to rent mine too. I frankly can’t believe that a franchise like this permits employees to speak to customers like I have been spoken to on two separate occasions in this store, but needless to say, 100% never returning. Would give zero stars if it was an option. Disgraceful.
