Closing lottery a full hour before the store closes is fine if that's what you want to do but snottiness from the cashier about it when I asked for a ticket was unnecessary. Most places keep lottery open untill 30 mins, some even 15 mins before closing so it's not out of the realm of possibility that someone who doesn't know your policy might ask for a ticket before then.
