"Jay" promises you everything. None of it actually happens and it just gets strung along. Basically, all these auto companies are brokers and they find the drivers. Difference is that Jay pretends to have found you a driver. Then when you go and read the actual reviews, it's a total nightmare. I requested immediate cancellation. He said he was STILL gonna charge me $100 because the "driver is on the way". I have screenshots of the actual dispatch board where NO DRIVER was assigned. Unfortunately they do not follow through on payment for their employees and owe a lot of people money in Costa Rica. As a broker company, they do not do things by the book, and over charge their customers as they see fit, they will find a carrier for you for one price and will sell that carrier to you for a much higher price. This in normally how a broker company would work, but they charge as they see fit depending on the need form the customer to move their vehicle. They will ask for money down/ deposit for the carrier but that is just a lie, they keep all that money for themselves. The "deposit" that you pay is their own broker fee and they lie to you. The money that you pay upon delivery to the driver is the cost that the driver charged. I have personally seen them charge $1000 over the asking price of the carrier as they over charge people with money and a high need. They do not have a flat broker rate as it should be in order to find you a carrier. They cut corners, treat their employees like garbage and i would not recommend this company to anyone. All the management work and live in Costa Rica taking the jobs of people in the united states and cutting every corner possible. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY , do yourself a favor and go with some other broker company.

Are you looking for a driver who will use your car as their personal motel room and trash can while delivering your car 4 days late, not answer your calls or texts, not know the different transport laws between states, and tell you they take a specific payment method and then refuse that method at delivery? Then look no further! I remained patient with and actually felt bad for the hard time this driver had delivering my car on time due to the fact that he didn’t know the laws in Florida but my patience waned when he suddenly required a new payment method at pick up and then I found a beer bottle and greasy rags and packaging for some car part inside my car. Guessing he decided to use my car as his hotel so as to not cut into his profits on the trip. Of course, Imoveauto claims no responsibility for this since they aren’t the driver but they should accept some liability since they found him. They have assured me they won’t use him again but I’m not sure how that helps me. They told me they would refund their fee but after waiting around for weeks for it and calling numerous times, they are now refusing to refund me. This company will tell you they’re going to call you back and they never do. They just want you to go away after you pay them. They are the absolute worst.

I hired this company to assist with transporting my vehicle and I was also (based on other reviews) burned by the bait and switch and since there was no time to use another broker I had to agree to the extra $400 to transport my vehicle. My vehicle and the driver went missing for over five days (Not this companies fault) but their motto is "we stay with you from pickup to delivery" and it could not be more far from the truth. I called over and over again asking where my vehicle was and everyone I spoke to (at least three different people) told me they would call me back in 15 minutes but those calls never happened. I had to make all of the phone calls, NOT A SINGLE PERSON CALLED ME, I had to do everything. All I got from them each time I called was an apology. Obviously they just want your money and if things go south, your on your own....

As Good As It Gets In The Shipping Industry I Move Auto did a great job for what they had to work with. They'll be my first (and hopefully only) call if I need shipping services again. Lousy sales tactics and somewhat lacking communication are the only reasons I didn't give them a 5-star rating. I honestly hope I never need to ship a vehicle again as this industry is AWFUL. Every company says the other guy is lying to you, which means you can't trust any of them when you're trying to decide. I ended up losing $100 to another company (UT123) who deceived me with a promise of a guaranteed price, and conveniently failed to tell me about the non-refundable fee if I go with someone else because they couldn't find a driver. In full disclosure, I Move Auto used the same sales tactics, telling me they were the only people I could trust, which didn't make me feel any better. After trying to find a shipper for a week, I was getting frustrated and looking for whoever would help me first. I Move Auto won my business in the end because they were the fastest pickup and delivery for a fair price. The good news is that it was smooth sailing from there. I Move Auto dispatched Night Eagle Transportation, LLC for the job. The driver contacted me and actually delivered a whole day earlier than the original plan. He was very courteous, professional, and still friendly. Growing up on a farm and spending some time in the U.S. Army, I've transported things before myself. The driver's rig was high quality and set up properly. There were no problems with the transport, and I wouldn't expect any from a pro like this. So, the industry sucks and is miserable to deal with. I Move Auto was at least courteous to talk to on the phone, had a fair price, and set me up with a great professional driver. I think they could improve communication some as I kept having to call them asking if they found someone yet after they kept saying they hoped to have someone tomorrow. They were always polite when I nagged them though, and got the job done right in the end. If I do ever need to transport a vehicle again, I won't waste time with the lousy industry. I'll go straight to I Move Auto because they at least earned my trust by doing the job right...and didn't steal any extra money from me. Service: Vehicle transport

I had an inoperable older BMW convertible that I wanted to ship from Virginia to Ohio for restoration. Many of the companies to whom I spoke wanted to charge substantially extra because the car was inoperable and because there was an extra transmission to be transported in the trunk. After making a single inquiry online, I was inundated by calls, texts and e-mails from over a dozen shipping brokers. The price quotes ranged from ridiculously (and obviously misleadingly) low to outrageously high. It became clear that the middle of the range was probably what the real market price for this trip should be. I-Move Auto did not hassle me with multiple contacts -- they waited for me to call them when I was ready for the pick-up which I appreciated. At the last minute, after a driver had been assigned, I ran into a logistical problem that made it so that it would be better for me to wait an extra week to ship the car (the restoration garage was not ready to store the car). I-Move Auto and their excellent transporter accommodated the delay with a smile and no extra charge. The driver showed up on time, loaded the car and delivered it seamlessly as promised, on time , in Ohio. When I need to ship my next vehicle, I will immediately pick up the phone and call I-Move -- perfect service and reasonable prices -- they fulfilled every promise. Of course they get five stars, isn't that what a perfect experience deserves? I couldn't imagine how they could have been any better. Service: Vehicle transport

When I need to ship my next vehicle, I will immediately pick up the phone and call I-Move -- perfect service and reasonable prices -- they fulfilled every promise. As Good As It Gets In The Shipping Industry I Move Auto did a great job for what they had to work with. They'll be my first (and hopefully only) call if I need shipping services again. Lousy sales tactics and somewhat lacking communication are the only reasons I didn't give them a 5-star rating. I honestly hope I never need to ship a vehicle again as this industry is AWFUL. Every company says the other guy is lying to you, which means you can't trust any of them when you're trying to decide. I ended up losing $100 to another company (UT123) who deceived me with a promise of a guaranteed price, and conveniently failed to tell me about the non-refundable fee if I go with someone else because they couldn't find a driver. In full disclosure, I Move Auto used the same sales tactics, telling me they were the only people I could trust, which didn't make me feel any better. After trying to find a shipper for a week, I was getting frustrated and looking for whoever would help me first. I Move Auto won my business in the end because they were the fastest pickup and delivery for a fair price. The good news is that it was smooth sailing from there. I Move Auto dispatched Night Eagle Transportation, LLC for the job. The driver contacted me and actually delivered a whole day earlier than the original plan. He was very courteous, professional, and still friendly. Growing up on a farm and spending some time in the U.S. Army, I've transported things before myself. The driver's rig was high quality and set up properly. There were no problems with the transport, and I wouldn't expect any from a pro like this. So, the industry sucks and is miserable to deal with. I Move Auto was at least courteous to talk to on the phone, had a fair price, and set me up with a great professional driver. I think they could improve communication some as I kept having to call them asking if they found someone yet after they kept saying they hoped to have someone tomorrow. They were always polite when I nagged them though, and got the job done right in the end. If I do ever need to transport a vehicle again, I won't waste time with the lousy industry. I'll go straight to I Move Auto because they at least earned my trust by doing the job right...and didn't steal any extra money from me. Service: Vehicle transport

I had an inoperable older BMW convertible that I wanted to ship from Virginia to Ohio for restoration. Many of the companies to whom I spoke wanted to charge substantially extra because the car was inoperable and because there was an extra transmission to be transported in the trunk. After making a single inquiry online, I was inundated by calls, texts and e-mails from over a dozen shipping brokers. The price quotes ranged from ridiculously (and obviously misleadingly) low to outrageously high. It became clear that the middle of the range was probably what the real market price for this trip should be. I-Move Auto did not hassle me with multiple contacts -- they waited for me to call them when I was ready for the pick-up which I appreciated. At the last minute, after a driver had been assigned, I ran into a logistical problem that made it so that it would be better for me to wait an extra week to ship the car (the restoration garage was not ready to store the car). I-Move Auto and their excellent transporter accommodated the delay with a smile and no extra charge. The driver showed up on time, loaded the car and delivered it seamlessly as promised, on time , in Ohio.
