At 8 my daughter was very interested in gymnastics, but had no experience in the sport. She started Level 1 classes once a week. Through her desire to learn and practice at home the skills she was being taught in class, she was pulled up to level 2 and asked to be on the pre- comp team within the first year. Coaches and staff here are wonderful at training those who want to learn!

She has the best coaches, and the owner Jean is always communicating with me about all events. Miss Tisha always keeps me up to date with currents news and is always happy and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!

This place has been absolutely amazing! My daughter has always been very flexible and I knew she would do amazing things in gymnastics so I decided to give this place a try and I don’t regret my decision at all!!! They’ve been absolutely amazing and my daughter loves it! She looks forward to gymnastics every day! Coaches and staff are amazing!

My daughter attended Emerald City Gymnastics for several years. She was in regular classes and then on the competition teams at various levels. She learned gymnastics. She became very good. We pushed her to continue when she was tired and overworked and she didn't want to go to practice or events. She became better. We moved and went to another gym and continued her training where she continued to excel. This sounds great, right? However, my daughter is now a teen and has finally become more vocal about why she didn't want to go to practices and events at Emerald City Gymnastics. They fat shamed her (she is athletically built and has never had a high BMI). They made them all hold their tummies in so they didn't show any shape of a belly (even normal ones). This has now morphed into much greater body issues for my teen. To say that I'm livid would be an understatement. This gym breeds negativity, hate, and unprofessionalism. The coaches are unprofessional and out of shape (they also hire young kids that can't deal with kids) and the owner has ideas of grandeur that can never be lived up to. STAY AWAY from this gym. I'm considering a lawsuit to cover the inevitable therapy that they gym has caused my beautiful daughter. Damn them all.

The classes are very age appropriate and the coaches guide and challenge her as she moves up to each new class. The coaches also provide instruction on what to work on at home. We are very pleased with Emerald City Gymnastics and would highly recommend to our family and friends.

Even so they don’t allow her to continued in this place justifying that she did not understand and they have only one coach. These people have no idea that discrimination for disability is punishable, they should inform themselves with the disabilty act. This place is not child friendly, they expect them to act like adults and the owner or manager treats the children rudely. if you want your child to practice gymnastics look for other places in fort walton, less expensive with a better environment for your child.

Even the rec coaches regularly touch base with the parents to make sure all is good and give updates. This amazing gym seems to care about the whole athlete, not just the skills. Its refreshing to see!

Started in June 2017 and still attending once a week. These ladies not only teach her gymnastics, but build up confidence!
