We take our fur babies to Dr. Stroup and her caring staff! Very professional and reasonable prices! Love the proximity to my home and the hands on care from her staff.

Dr Cindy was absolutely wonderful, we have just moved here and got recommendations from several neighbors who all said the same thing, Dr Stroup is the best. When I called the office person was professional and had the sound of concern in her voice which made me feel at ease. I explain my dog’s situation and they made appointment right away.Dr Cindy came outside and chatted with us and got a complete history as well as what was new since we moved here, she also explained how to care for Charlie now that we are Floridians. She advised us on her plan and took Charlie into her office for a once over. When she finished the exams she was very thorough with here findings and explained a good course of action. Needless to say we have found our new vet!

Dr Stroup has been our family vet since we moved to the area about 3 years ago. She is a professional and compassionate vet. What I appreciate most about her is her no-nonsense, tell- it- like- it- is approach balanced with kindness & soul. A few months ago, my 18.5 year old kitty was failing. Like a family physician, the Dr Stroup saw her right away. She took her vitals and then recommended euthanization. I asked if my longtime companion was suffering and without hesitation said "yes". I trusted her and knew we made the right decision together. The team at Animal Hospital of West Bay was and is so caring. She continues to be our vet for our rescue pup and two other feline family members. I highly recommend her.

Our elderly cat, Peeps is not an easy patient! The first time Dr. Cyndi Stroup saw Peeps, she could tell immediately that Peeps was nervous and afraid and took extra time to comfort and calm Peeps before examining her. And, from our experience, that defines Dr. Cyndi Stroup. She is way beyond just being a practitioner, she's a kind and gentle caregiver. She understands that pets are family too - and she nurtures the people who come in with their pets. Peeps has had other vets; Dr. Stroup makes us feel like we're her total focus, we never feel rushed. And that focus is also evident with West Bay's entire staff. Everyone there have been outstanding caregivers, to the pets and their owners. Dr. Cyndi Stroup is an outstanding Veterinarian, we highly recommend her. And, Peeps does too!

Dr. Stroup has taken care of our dogs since she first opened her clinic on West Bay. (customer #20). She and her staff are so dedicated to their fur-patients, and caring of the families. I recommend her often.

I Can NOT Even Begin To Express How UPSET My Husband & I Are. We Have A Cockapoo, A Breed Who Is Known To Have Ear Problems. About Every 6 Months Or So His ears Get Red & Inflamed. So We Have To Take Him To The Vet To Get Medication. (This has been an on going issue, since he was a baby pup) We Have Been UNHAPPY With This Vet For At Least 2 Years Now, But I Can't Find Anyone Who Recommends Their Vet. Trust Me, I've Asked Everyone I Know Who Owns A Dog. So Because We Haven't Found A Vet That Someone We Know & Trust, Likes. We Have Stuck With The Vet That Our Dog Knows. 12 Days Ago I Called This Office & Spoke To A Man (who said he was new) I Told Him That We Just Need To Pick Up An RX For Our Pup (because we were going out of town for my husband's 40th birthday) We Were Told That He Had To Come In & Get An Exam & Ear Swab (even though its been the EXACT same problem every 6 months for almost 8 years) .. The Last 3 Times We Went To This Vet, Our Bill Was Crazy High. So This Time I Asked Specifically For A FULL BREAK DOWN OF PRICES. I Was Told: $40 For An Exam + $21 For An Ear Swab + Medicine Would Run Between $20-$40 ... So If You Add Everything Up, Using The Highest Amount For An RX. That's $100. We Were Okay With Paying The $100. HOWEVER, When I Got To The Vet's Office, They Did All Types Of Stuff That We Were NOT Quoted For, We Were NOT Told About, We Were NOT ASKED If We Could Afford Extra Stuff, Or If We Even Wanted Extra Stuff Done. I Left The Office With A Bill That Was Almost $300 !!!! ALL WE WANTED WAS An Exam, Ear Swab & Medicine For His Ears! Instead, They Did The Exam. They Did The Ear Swab + They Did A Foot Swab (& charged us extra) We Didn't Need A Foot Swab, We Knew What Was Wrong With His Feet. The Same Thing That's Wrong With His Ears (yeast) The Medicine Clears Up BOTH His Ears & Feet. So They Did A Foot Swab WITHOUT ASKING US If We Wanted It, WITHOUT ASKING If We Could Afford It, WITHOUT Giving Us A Price. (they added it to our bill) ... Then The Vet Tech Came Into The Room & Gave Our Dog A Steroid Shot WITHOUT ASKING Us If It Was Okay To Give Him A Shot. (They Gave him a shot years ago & It didn't do well with him, so we have told them in the past that we don't want steroid shots given to him) The Vet Tech Came In, Pinched His Skin & Gave Him The Shot. She DIDN'T ASK If It Was Okay. She DIDN'T Ask If We Could Afford It, She Just Came In & Pinched A Fatty Part On His Back & Gave A Shot. Then It Was Added To Our Bill, Even Though We Were NEVER Quoted For It. Then They Prescribed Him A $100 Medication. They Didn't Offer To Write A RX For Us To Fill Where We Wanted ( I Found The RX Online For $30, But The Vet Charged Us $100) & Just Added It To Our Bill. Both My Husband & Myself Were VERY UPSET At Not Only The LACK OF COMMUNICATION, But Also The Crazy Price Difference Of The Price We Were Quoted VS The Actual Bill. His Appointment Was On Thursday, We Left Town On Saturday Morning. My Mother & Sister Came & Stayed With Our Dog While We Were Gone, So That They Could Give Him This Medication Every Day. We Just Got Back Home & Where They INJECTED HIM WITH A SHOT, He Now Has A HUGE Knot & A Black Line Is Running Through The Knot. We Started Researching What Could It Be (he has NEVER had a bump of any type) It Turns Out That Its Caused By A Steroid Shot Being Put Into FAT Instead Or A Muscle! The Vet Tech DIDN'T Give Him The Shot Properly. So Now He Has A HUGE Knot On His Back From The Shot & His Body Can't Break Down The Chemicals Because It Wasn't Injected Into A Muscle. So We Are Going To Have To Take Him Back Into The Vet & Now Have This Knot DRAINED! Our Poor Dog Is Going To Have To Be Cut Open To Drain This Spot Because The VET TECH Doesn't Know How To Do Her Job & Because He Was Given A Shot That We Did NOT Approve In The 1st Place. They Should Have Made A Note In His File From When We Told Them Years Ago To NOT Give Him Steroid Shots! This Vets Office Is A SCAM. She Does Whatever She Wants & Then Gives You A Ridiculous Bill!

Dr. Stroup & staff listened to us re: our dog (Ruby) who panics (uncontrollable) when @ the vet. They toke measures to help calm her (without meds.) & the whole process went very well. No vet had been able to get but maybe a drop of blood (if that) let alone listen to her heart, etc. Dr. Stroup & her tech. were able to examine her & get all vitals & blood work with NO problem at all. And Ruby seemed to like the Tech. Ruby walked out as calm as she walked in. Thank you Dr. Stroup & your staff; awesome.

Dr. Stroup is an exceptional vet. She and her staff have been treating our dogs for about nine years. I could not imagine using another vet. Her knowledge and experience are at the very highest level. Her assessments and diagnoses have proven true each time. Yet her compassion and genuine love for our four-legged family members lets us know we can always trust her good judgement. She has helped our family through the joys and sorrows of pet stewardship in such a wonderful manner that I cannot help but recommend her with sincere enthusiasm. - Paul Granger

Excellent veterinarian practice. My entire family brought our dogs here, and Dr. Stroup provided care for a couple of our dogs through middle age all the way to the peaceful end of their lives. She was my veterinarian until I had to relocate to another state for work. Reasonably priced, with a flexible schedule, helpful staff, extremely clean facility. My Scottish terrier had her spaying done here as a puppy, and Dr. Stroup stayed an hour late to monitor her just because she was still woozy from the anesthetic. A veterinarian that genuinely cares for her patients, is common sense and practical in her solutions for them, and is bilingual on top of it. Can't ask for much more.
