I had an ophthalmology appointment with Dr. Schenk for masses on my dogs eye lids. I cannot recommended this practice or Dr. Schenk enough! He was kind and extremely knowledgeable. He was also able to communicate information excellently. My dog was able to have her procedure done the same day as her consultation appointment. The surgery went well and my dog is doing so well in recovery. All of the staff we interacted with were super friendly and at a time when I was scared and worried for my dogs health, I had no doubts she would be well cared for. I will be coming to this practice for any emergency issues in the future. There is not a single bad thing to say about TB veterinary specialists and emergency care.

We brought in Our 13yo English cream golden retriever Tebow, Wednesday June 22nd. He was a sick boy. We called prior And told him how sick he was. They told us to bring him right in. When I got there there was practically no wait And they took him. To make a long story short.. The medical staff did everything possible. Unfortunately for Tebow his time had come. We were with him for his last moments Thank you to the staff, The specialist doctors and the ER doctor. I didn't want to take any pictures of him sick. Instead I posted pictures of him for the staff how he always was. A beautiful boy.

Couldn't get my 16yo cat to my regular vet. due to COVID. This was the hail Mary pass with one play before the end game. The experience was exceptional right from the initial phone call. When I arrived, they assessed the cat's condition and later I conferred with the doctor. Everything was explained in clear detail and all of my questions were answered. At no time did I ever feel pressured or rushed. The entire staff was very understanding and compassionate. You can tell these people have a genuine love of animals...it's what they do. My cat needed some minor surgery and is home now doing well.

Everything about our experience here was amazing. Yes it was expensive- but excellent care demands the best facilities, the most knowledgeable and experienced doctors, the most professional staff, and the most modern diagnostic equipment. None of it comes cheap and this practice had all of it. If you want the best care possible- this is the right place. I have left bad reviews for two other Vets so I’m not a pushover. am just a regular person with a beloved little dog who got pancreatitis and thanks to this hospital she is home and back to her frisky self!

Took my dog here because of severe abdominal pain. I called SEVERAL emergency vets in the area, none were able to get him in at a reasonable time frame. I was able to call ahead to give this place a run down on everything going on, got checked in and they took him back quickly ( < 20 minutes). Not only did they demonstrate a great priority system, but they showed amazing care for my hurting dog, helped him and then did follow up X-Rays to be sure everything was cleared up and also found additional items I had no idea about. Very understanding, friendly and caring staff. I would have no issues at all bringing my pet back here in the event of an emergency. THANK YOU!

After about 5 vet visits to other offices and almost $1,500 later, we finally decided to bring our cat to Dr. Miller for an eye problem. He was able to detect and treat the eye so my cat wouldn’t potentially lose it in the long run. He has been the only vet to ensure he took the time to address my concerns and go through everything with me. Front office staff is really nice too! Will be back here if we ever need to in the future.

I can't say enough about the care of this facility. I called to schedule an appointment for our dog who has been struggling with seizures. We were able to get an appointment for the next day. When I called to make the appointment, the receptionist wanted to check with the neurology team to make sure that our pup could wait until the next day for the appointment. Dr. Tensley was patient and kind while answering all my questions. She called me personally when going over test results and showed such compassion. When I had to call for the possibility of a dosage change, she was out of the clinic for a few days. The receptionist reached out to the neurology team and Dr. Tensley and was able to answer my question. I am so impressed with the level of care and their willingness to work with our regular veterinarian to help our dog.

I can’t thank the staff of this location enough. Not only did the ophthalmologist give us incredibly relieving and positive news when a different vet incorrectly told us our cat had lymphoma in his eye, they were extremely thorough with the explanation of our cats diagnosis along with the attention and care our pet received. The nurse and doctor there went absolutely above and beyond to help me get my car unstuck from a parking stopper in the lot, I seriously can’t thank them enough. This is probably the best care you and your pet can receive.

Phenomenal people who did a wonderful job of caring for my furbaby. My kitty was throwing up and then developed an upper respiratory infection. The vet I took her to gave me a referral for 2 places. I'm so glad I went to Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialists! It took way longer than anticipated, but that's because they worked her in for a procedure on the same day of her visit. While I'm not crazy about dropping her off and waiting outside, it makes sense because of their waiting room construction. All in all, they took great care of Fiona. It was expensive, but they warned me up front and gave a less costly and less aggressive option, but we went with what I think was the best option for my kitty's health. I can't thank Dr. Cowan and the staff enough for taking such good care of my baby girl!

This is a great veterinary specialist place! We’ve unfortunately had to bring 2 of our French Bulldogs recently both for eye issues & they did a great job. They’re very thorough & the staff is warm & welcoming. They also explain things that needed to be done after the procedures in a way that even I could understand!
