We are staying in a hotel nearby and wanted something for dinner. The bartender told us about a classy little place on an island where they make their own noodles. My grandfather is from Palermo, Sicily. I did make a reservation for 4 with a window view. The location was on a very busy street with plenty of bars or desserts shops. Ok in all the restaurants that we have tried across America I can say the “Old Fashion” here ultimately the BEST! From the presentation to the smell of the cherry wood smoke it was so delightful. I did ask the waitress for a very sweet martini she suggested the “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” it was very tasty. My friends and I thought cocktails were amazing. This was the best mixologist in town. We were having such a good time when our appetizer arrived, it was a heavenly amount of butter and clams. I ate every bite. I am glad we saved room for the entrées. They were all large portion dishes. My husband enjoyed his steamed main lobster. It was cooked to perfection and the claws fell right out. I wanted lobster but I also wanted some homemade pasta as well. My dish was the best, it had lobster, shrimp, and pasta. To the manager our server couldn’t not have done a better job. She was very busy when we arrived plus there was a huge party table. She never missed a beat and was so kind. I ask many questions when I am dining. She had the answers and was timely as well. Wow, the chef skills were on point tonight, thank you.

I had such a great experience here. I dined in solo. The staff was incredible. Management, service, and bar staff were all on point. Super engaged and friendly. There were so many menu options, it was almost hard to decide what to get. I actually dined in the first night I got in and the food was so good I ended up ordering take out from here after work the following night and got everything I wanted that I didn’t get the first night. When I dined in, I got the grouper with a side of mashed potatoes and a side salad. Both were really generous portions. I was told they are known for their cocktails so I ordered a painkiller, which was phenomenal. When I ordered takeout, I got the fried basket with clam strips, jumbo shrimp, and cod, as well as the jumbo mozerella sticks. They were such a generous portions I ended up having a full meal the following day. The food was awesome but off the strength of the service alone, I’d be back. Highly recommended.

First of all, I just want to say the service in this restaurant is excellent!! Most importantly, the seafood and the pasta were so delicious. This has to be the best restaurant in Sarasota!! I ordered shrimp and scallop scampi. The scallops and shrimps were both jumbo size and they were so fresh! Their linguine was freshly made in house and it’s much better than store bought. The experience was absolutely amazing. Not to mention the view from the balcony, the view during sunset was gorgeous.

My husband and I came here after Googling. I ordered a margarita and it was awful. I then ordered a watermelon margarita and this was bad too. My husband ordered the steamed clams which were delicious. I ordered the pei mussels in marinara sauce, the sauce was like tomato soup. Very watery no flavor. I ordered the stuffed shrimp which were good. They served me a side of asparagus that were an inch in diameter. Couldn’t even put a fork through it. Sent it back and got more. Still a bit thick but softer. Melissa was a manager there and took care of the bill. I don’t like doing this at all but she insisted. I did take good care of the server as it wasn’t his fault. Don’t think we will return.

Upscale casual. Nice dining atmosphere. Tin ceiling. Great lighting. Huge booths. NY Strip cooked to order. The best freakin Army Navy drink ever. Sit in Michael's section and they have A1.

The food here is always consistently delicious! We had great appys of cheese sticks and the best mussels. The house made pasta is the best we’ve had. Our meals were so good. We had amazing Parmesan crusted grouper, shrimp scampi, Frutti de mare , and Cheese Raviloi. Danielle did a great job!

We had a great experience our food was fantastic. Highly recommend the crab & spinach dip. Our server Christian was amazing he was on top of everything he gave us recommendations on our meals.

My wife and I came here for anniversary dinner, and they did not disappoint. The food was amazing. We enjoy most of the restaurants in the circle but Speaks is our favorite.

Had some friends in from out of town and this place was recommended to me by several friends. The atmosphere was great. We sat at an outside table. The waiter was very friendly and informative and when he didn't have an answer he got one for us. They had smoked bourbon manhattans to start with and loved them. We loved the clam chowder, lobster roll and homemade pasta with clams. Overall this was a great experience and I'd recommend this place. Especially if you have company in town.

We ate here 3 nights in a row it was so good! My favorite was the Shrimp and Lobster papperdelle (I switched out the lobster for scallops because of personal preference). The pasta is made fresh in restaurant and is amazing! Our favorite appetizer was the Eggplant Nepoleon- crispy eggplant, ripe tomatoes and fresh mozzarella stacked with a homemade marinara sauce! So delicious! Food, Drinks, Atmosphere and wait staff were all top-notch.
