While living in Tampa, I frequented the pharmacy at this Walgreens location, and although my experiences never seemed to be as bad as some others (as are outlined in the reviews here), I have to say the service at this pharmacy for the most part is quite slow. I typically would utilize the drive-thru for medication pick-up, so maybe this was the cause of some delays? I rarely used the counter, so I can't speak for the speed of service in this area as an alternative, but prior to utilizing this pharmacy, I had never experienced service as slow as the service here (in the drive-thru specifically). I'm not sure if it's an issue with staffing, but there were many times it would take > 30 minutes to pick-up a medication in the drive-thru lanes. This Walgreens, overall, is great for convenience being right on Platt, but if there were other options near this area, I may have utilized them as an alternative. I think there is definitely room for improvement.

Showed up at 5:01pm to get my prescription- they close at 5pm on Sundays. I also tried to call to ask if they could hold but there phones were “down.” Had not closed up when I got there and helped everyone around me but told me they couldn’t help me and the women was VERY rude about it. One thing to say they can’t help me, another to close the gate on me & tell me I can survive without my prescription. Will be doing business with CVS from now on -the South Howard location is awesome!

This Walgreens never fails on being the worst in town with managing the pharmacy. Every time I come in I am reminded of why I should go to a different pharmacy. I don’t know if they have are understaffed? The staff seems to all be working hard back there so I feel bad for them but I have to leave this review. If you schedule an appointment with the clinic they make you wait in the same line as people dropping off and picking up. I’ve waited 40 mins in line before being able to check into the clinic. Then waited 20+ mins for my shot (that took 10 seconds). Not to mention they schedule multiple people at the same appointment time. Not sure why you need an appointment if the time is not accurate in any way shape or form.

As many others have stated, this is the worst pharmacy I have ever interacted with in my life. Between blue cross limitations and where we live, I have endured this place for the last two years. If you have any choice at all, avoid this place. I’ve never seen a more disinterested, slow moving staff. It is as though they are all on some kind of slow motion drug. Routinely you will spend 30 minutes in the drive through to pick up one paid script. Please avoid.

I know many reviews have shared their bad experiences at the pharmacy. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I have never had a negative experience at this Walgreens, and I shop there probably once a week. In fact, I would like to give up special shout out to Angelina in the pharmacy department. The pharmacy can be a hectic place, but she patiently helped me synchronize my Walgreens app to my existing account. She was professional, pleasant and very efficient.

Came here to buy using my healthcare flex card but made sure to call the day prior to confirm hours. I come by and my card is declined when I went to purchase. Apparently they updated their payment system and it didn’t work. I call my card customer service and was told I need to pay in pharmacy and guess what I was told 24/7 but pharmacy is closed. Guy at front was a clueless manager not very helpful at all. I’ve come here before many times as it is close to my job but it’s not worth the hassle. The reviews for this store are accurate.

They turned my sister away from getting a COVID vaccination because she didn't have an appointment, even though there was no one else there... Places should be doing everything they can to get folks vaccinated. Fortunately CVS was accommodating.

Horribly understaffed. The pharmacy wait time is unacceptable. I’ve been a customer since 2012. They usually have one person working the inside check out counter AND the 2 drive thru lanes. One person. I often use DI Pharmacy or CVS instead but some years my insurance has an exclusive contract with Walgreens so I’m forced to come to this ridiculous place. 2 days ago, I was sitting in the drive thru and I was the first car sitting at the window. I sat there for 12 minutes and nobody talked to me. So I left. Today I returned to try again. Sat for 5 mins in drive thru before being acknowledged. This time I also had an online order (in addition to prescriptions) to pick up, which can be picked up in the drive thru too. I get home….and…they gave me the wrong online order. It had my name on it but it wasn’t what I ordered. A completely different item. What is going here?

I’m usually not one to leave a negative review, but this pharmacy is a train wreck. I had my prescription transferred here without an issue, they told me it would be available that night and later I got a confirmation message. Went the next day to pick it up, and the long line was crawling. I finally get to the front and they don’t have my prescription ready or even in stock. They tell me to come back later. I’m annoyed, but whatever, accidents happen. I come back later, they can’t find me in the system. They finally do, and the bring me my prescription. Finally they find me, and bring me my prescription. They filled the generic brand for me (which I don’t typically have an issue with) then they tried to charge me SIX TIMES the cost of my normal medication. Absolutely not. It was a MASSIVE waste of time and never even got what I needed. I also overheard someone else having the same issue in line that day. And behind the scene looked like chaos. What a mess.

Every time I’m at this pharmacy, both drive thru and in-store there’s a line that moves at a trickle. Prepare to be here for at least 30 mins for your prescription that they alerted you is “ready” for pickup. There’s at least 4 people behind the counter. Need to work on efficiency or get more staffing.
