RIPPED OFF by Budget - LAX. Car rental one week. Had to park in a dirt lot at Apartment location we visited. Returned car clean - except for a few crumbs of dirt (on the floor mats) that could easily be vacuumed out in about 1 minute upon return or shaken off the removable mats (see photos that THEY sent to ME to justify charge). Was charged a $250 cleaning fee!!! (you read that right - 75% of the entire car rental charge!). Called and complained - they lowered it to $125. STILL a rip off. Watch out for Budget - they will steal your money - OR - travel with a hand vac???

Leaving this review on behalf of my mother. She wanted to rent her a car and after Enterprise ruined her entire morning and left her in tears (which angered me to the fullest extent) she gave Budget a try, and what a good thing she did. Tom helped her this morning and was beyond gracious and professional. She said it was easy peasy, he was very kind and nice to her, and she was in and out in her rental within minutes. Also more affordable than Enterprise. Tom, thanks again for making this experience a good one for her. Highly recommend!!!

I rent from this location ALOT!!! The staff is very friendly and courteous, the cars, for the most part, are always clean and in great condition, and the best prices around!! If the car you reserved isnt available when you get there, they'll give you whatever they have with no extra charge! definitely recommend this place for your local rentals!!!

My negative review reflects the negative experience and poor customer service that I received specifically from this Jupiter/Tequesta Budget Rental location. I rented a one-way 26' truck rental across the state, along with a car trailer. From the moment you pull up to the small building, there is nowhere to park or maneuver around the parking lot. Then, when you walk into the building, you're never greeted and the woman at the desk merely asks you for your credit card and driver's license. During the entire paperwork process, she never spoke a word. Just highlighted areas needing to be signed and pointed. When all was completed (without explanations on anything), she directed me to the gravel parking lot next door to where the truck and trailer were parked. When I got there, another man was waiting and handed over the keys. He didn't really speak English, so he couldn't explain how to work the trailer to me. The truck also had 200k+ miles on it, with a cracked windshield. I was able to leave only after waiting another 20 minutes for a truck to move so I could pull out of the parking lot. When I drove across the state, it was pouring. During the 4+ hour drive, I was welcomed to water leaking in the cabin and dripping on me the whole time. The next day, when we began unloading our truck, we realized the truck cargo also had water leaks and ruined much of our personal possessions. Run, and never use Budget Truck Rental or if you're forced to, avoid this location entirely!

Rented a car through prepaid. Discovered I didn’t need a car after all and went to cancel. They charged me a $50.00 prepaid cancellation fee after less than an hour. Unscrupulous company. Uses ppl in India not America to talk too. Will never use them again. Enterprise costs a little more but they have a free cancellation fee.

Never use budget. We wanted a better trailer and they wouldn't give us one. Fell apart in the middle of Texas. Had to wait 7 hours for someone to fix it. Never mind that we were driving 3k miles across the country! Then we take the truck back and get yelled at by the woman working because she didn't know what to do with our truck with the trailer attached. If you want stress free moving then don't use them. Made our move worse than hell and just gave me a headache.

The mini van I rented was acceptable but 1 week after I returned the van my credit was charged $20.75 ($1.00 toll + $19.75 admin fee!). I already paid this toll through my personal transponder I traveled with. When I called, I was asked to send in my transponder activity & was told I would be credited back. What a scam! I believe Budget is relying on many people not checking their credit card statements.

Bad Experience - Recently rented a Hyundai Sante Fe. I pulled off the lot and the minute I began to apply the brakes, it seemed that the entire front end was going to collapse. I rented right at closing time so I knew was gone because he left when I did. As I approached speeds of 34-40mph the car was shaking. Putting on the brakes and it was clear that this piece of junk needed an alignment. I live less than 2 miles from this location but in order to replace the rental I had to drive all the way to the Palm Beach Airport. I paid online and asked for something like a Rav. I got a dirty, smelly, poorly maintained vehicle. Never again.

Second time my friend rented a car there and there was drama in the reception area we had to wait for the drama to end in order to get the car that we already reserved. when we got the car it was dirty again. What gives. Go to a different town. It's not the company. Budget normally is good
