Atm always unable to accept cash deposits. It’s frustrating since I have to borrow a car or take CTA 45 mins to get here. It’s not this location, it’s all wells fargos in the Chicago area. The customer service when I come during hours of operation is spectacular- the people are amazing. But I have bills to pay and this bank is supposed to work for me, and it hasn’t been

tldr: The employees of this branch have the patience of saints and I applaud them for their professionalism, kindness and ability to set boundaries with difficult customers. Especially the manager Charisse (i believe it's spelled) was wonderful and I hope she sees this. Thank you so much! I don't write reviews often but the abysmal behavior I saw from the customers in this branch made me furious. I wanted to hug every single employee and their patience and kindness towards the most horrendous entitlement was that of saints. I came there for a simple thing, name change to my account, and it was near the end of the day. I always thought patience was taught in preschool, but I guess not. People who came in after me were fully DEMANDING to be attended to with zero regard for the fact the branch was understaffed. It's a billion dollar company, people, and we're in a pandemic. The manager of this ONE Wells Fargo in middle of nowhere midwest can't control who applies for a position. Yes, I had to wait for a while but it wasn't the end of the world like some people were making it seem. And I get it, this is a place that basically controls all your money, that's stressful, but have a SLIVER of compassion for the humans trying their best for you. Although this Wells Fargo is a bit out of the way, (and Wells Fargo as a company has been sus lately) if I have a need I'll be returning and hell I might even bring flowers for the employees who, despite all the abuse they endure, never raised their tone, never snipped, and always kept a level head. PS. Just a thought, I didn't want to be That Person, but when I was there, all the employees of this bank were women of color...... do with that what you will.

Terrible and Kafka-esque customer service. My father maintained an account at Wells Fargo. After he passed away I was named executor of his estate. I attempted to close his account using the documents issued by the probate court, which were readily accepted by other banks. But not Wells Fargo. The first time I went in, they refused to close the account, claiming that I had the improper documents. My attorney wrote them a letter informing them that the documents I brought them were authentic but I returned to the bank and again they told me that I didn’t have the correct documents. During my second visit, I had to repeatedly explain that they were the correct documents and had to repeatedly read aloud from both the documents and a letter from my attorney. They still would not accept the court documents and at that point I asked if I had to file a lawsuit to close the accounts. After over an hour and a half of back and forth, they finally accepted the court documents. I did not receive that type of treatment from other banks. It is always a difficult and time consuming process to get a loved one’s affairs in order, and Wells Fargo made it far more difficult, stressful, and frustrating than it needed to be.

I have been a Wells Fargo customer for 18 years and have had great experiences at the branches in another state before. So I kept my Wells Fargo account after I moved to Indiana. Recently I have to remove my EX from our joint account. She visited this branch and the Manager Ms. Charisse Roy told her that I must also be there and we could stop by this Saturday. So I drove 3 hours and arrived at 9:10am but we were told that an online appointment was a must, which was never been told to us. We explained and even talked to the same manager. What Ms. Roy did was just defending herself and insisting she could not do that for us without an appointment. There were 3 bankers that day. Even if they were all booked, removing a person from the account would take only a few minutes. I don't believe that she could not spare a few minutes to help us. She could also communicate with the other two bankers to help us. What I felt was that she treated her customers like a burden instead of helping them. She never smiled to us nor greeted us. I was wondering how Wells Fargo trained them in spite of hanging their motto "Courtesy" on the wall. At least the cashier tried to help us and she called another Chicago branch at Pointe Plaza but no one answered (soon it turned out that there were at least 4 employees working at that time). Since that branch was close, we drove there and wanted to give it a try. When I talked to the cashiers there, the same answer. The cashiers did not even want to give it a try by communicating with the banker. No wonder the Google review rating is so low for the Evanston branch. Wells Fargo should seriously improve their quality of services.

I've been with Wells Fargo for at least 10 years and with this branch for many years as well. Today, however, I didn't like nor appreciate how Claudio questioned me and asked me if I was expecting that check amount that I gave him to deposit in MY account. DUHHHHH the check has MY NAME on it. So Yes, I am aware of the substantial amount. It is clearly a Real Estate check. This reminded of when the Black Panther movie Director was questioned for the substantial amount he was withdrawing from his account and then arrested. Here's another reason why I will be closing my accounts with WF very soon. The hidden discrimination I felt. I am seeing the reputation this bank continues to have. I'm only giving 3 stars because my mother has a kind heart. Otherwise, I'd give 2 stars.

Horrible customer service for a horrible bank. I had an inactive account overdrafted by the bank on a bogus maintenance fee and then I came to branch to close the account and the three bankers on the floor, led by Jessica Barcenas, decided to have a meeting while ignoring the customers lining up in the bank. I wanted to close the account and leave but they seemed to enjoy making people wait. I sent a detailed account to the feedback email I got automatically from the bank. Don’t need to respond to some bogus owner operated PR account.

Received an offer in the mail to open new accounts, that required opening in a branch. Not online like the rest of the industry. Made my way to a branch over here, get told they are only seeing people by appointment despite it not looking very busy at all. Why send the offer? To deter me from banking with Wells Fargo? Waste of time.

Very bad service , short of staff, Banker Ms Shirley was very rude from the very beginning, I was not getting appointment online and/or answering phone calls so visited bank very early, she rudely asked me to scan and sign in and if possible she may or may not add to the waiting list. After an hour wait she comes and tell me there is no one available to open a new bank account. If there was no personal available then why did she had me waiting for an hour? I filed complaint with corporate office and their nonsense response came back to me as how can they improve service?

Horrible customer service. You need to re-educate your employees on delivering courteous customer service and protecting the privacy of your customer. Remember the customer is always right. Copy the good practices of other banks like keeping the customer's business private. You're running a legit business where privacy is at the center, not a grocery store where you can say whatever. You're dealing with people's confidential matter and it should stay that way.
