I have never experienced service as horrible as this. Our taxes were misfiled and we were never made aware that they NEVER EVEN FILED our taxes. We took our business elsewhere and now must pay a $500 fine because JACKSON HEWITT did not file our taxes properly. I’ve called countless times and not one single person is willing to help whatsoever. Stay away from JACKSON HEWITT. **your automated response is a joke. I have called and no one assists. You can rectify this by taking care of the $500 fee the IRS is charging me because your business completely screwed up my return**

This being the 1st time I went to them, rite when we walked in, there was a gentleman named Joe Slusin who wasn't friendly at all and actually just very rude and unprofessional in my opinion. We told him I had a 12 o'clock appointment, he said sit down it'll be awhile and we asked around how long if he knew, he said I don't know it's the last day but very rudely when he said it, and then while we were sitting there waiting for awhile, there must of been an issue with someone else's paperwork and he says "well that's what happens when you wait till the last day".. I was like WOW.. at that point I literally wanted to walk out and never use them ever, but it being the last day I had no choice but to wait for my appointment and I'm glad I did, because the woman that helped me Lissette Delgado was the nicest woman, very professional, and just polite as polite can be, unlike Joe, I was and am VERY PLEASED WITH LISSETTE..Joe in my opinion shouldn't be dealing with the public, he clearly doesn't have the personality for people..

This location lied changed my tax amounts without informing me that the Tax rep made an error. And too date after many calls even to their corporate office and was told by the Corp3 office that the branch in Round Lake did indeed make an error. And the Manager at the Round Lake office refused to take my call. Nor when this issue was first addressed did she acknowledge she was the manager. This location caused meuch stress. The manager had no remorse that her workers filed my taxes after making changes to the paperwork without my knowledge. To date and I will continue to discredit this Branch. Horrible service n inadequate workers if the are trained tax preparers then they need to be retrained.

Worst Experience EVER! I brought my taxes to JH 4 weeks ago. I was missing a W2 but their website service was not functioning and I could not upload documents so I had to print it and take it to them. It was a week before the 4th of July and I called every day for an entire week and nobody answered the phones and there was not an option to leave a message. I drove there AGAIN and there was someone there, but I was told that another document was needed. I made an appointment with Sarah for Monday 7/6 at 11. I got to the JH office at 11:01 and the doors were locked. I waited 10 minutes and someone finally opened the door. Sarah was not there. I was on my lunch hour so I only had one hour. I waited until 11:30 am for a man named JOE to “clock in.” Another woman had an 11 am appointment and she was taken right away. I continued to wait until 12:49 and I finally had to schedule another appointment because I had to go back to work. We are now down to the wire and my taxes are STILL not done. The two people working in this office were clueless and they could get in touch with Sarah. My appointment has been rescheduled to Friday, July 10th at 5 pm. Now I’m right down to the wire and I know that I owe the IRS a lot of money and I won’t have any time to get the funds together. It took Joe 20 minutes to “get in the system” to schedule the appointment. Ridiculous and TERRIBLE customer service. Taxes and the IRS are stressful enough, now I have this piled on top of it.
