This place really takes the time to make sure you know how to use the kayak you purchase! Super helpful and they are happy to answer all of your questions. We've purchased a few from them now and have never been disappointed. Thanks Sam and Krista!

I ordered Toe & Heels for my husband's Tecnica Ski Boots (from the UK as they weren't available here). I bought them to Sun Valley Sports to have them put on thinking I would pick them up in a few days. In 20 minutes Sam & the others had the New Toes & Heels put on. The boots (6 yrs+) look like New. He's now ready for this coming Ski Season 2021-22. I purchased a pair of Cat Trackers here so this won't happen again.

Just purchased a Hobie PA12 360 from here today. It was an amazing experience and I'm glad I chose to get it from sun valley sports. I went in twice looking at them before the purchase. Sam and the staff were eager to help with any questions I had no matter how repetitive I was. They definitely made me feel great with the purchase. Some assembly required and sam did great putting it together and did amazing showing me the ins and out of the kayak. I would not hesitate to do business with them again. Great business, great products, and most importantly great employees and customer service!

I've had my skis tuned at this shop since they opened. At first by Vaughn and now Sam and Krista. Whether it is a race tune or just a tune-up they do a great job and are very good technicians. You know about your eighth turn it was done right and dulled clean. I recently had a heel piece emergency and was going to do it myself, but Sam did the right thing and suggested that i come in and have the repair done right. So, beyond the technical stuff they care about the safety of their customers even if it takes them more time. Thanks for keeping me in and amped.

Visited on 2/14/21 at approximately 4pm. Was looking for some ski gear - walked up to the desk, and the lady just ignored me and kept working, despite standing directly in front of her. After about 30 seconds, she acknowledged my presence and asked what I needed. I politely asked for her help finding an item, and she acted like I was bothering her and she didn't want to be there - she was totally unhelpful and honestly just lazy. I wanted to like this place, but I walked out and spent my $$ elsewhere. I noticed that someone else posted a review about the same woman - the owner needs to wake up and find a replacement ASAP.

I've had many great experiences at Sun Valley Sports. Great customer service backed by knowledge. You may think, should I just buy ski boots online. DO NOT. Go see Sam, he will fit you and bake your boots for a perfect fit. This makes a world of difference on the mountain. I've worn my boots for a few year now and they feel incredible on my feet. Boosting my skiing experience. Also, I've had my ski's tuned/waxed by various place midwest/west and these guys are without a doubt the best.

Last October I was on the hunt for a Never Summer Chairman snowboard, particularly one with a blue finish for the base. I'm a big supporter of local and went to Sun Valley Sports where I met Sam. I had told him the specifications I was looking for in my board and although they didn't have it at the store, he contacted his Never Summer rep to look for the board at the factory. Sam kept in contact with me throughout the search at the factory and gave me updates until they found/made the board I was looking for. Furthermore, I bought new snowboard boots since the sole of my last ones ripped out and Sam helped me pick the perfect ones. He was very knowledgeable about their boots and worked with me to find what I was looking for with the perfect fit. Overall, the experience was outstanding and Sam truly went above and beyond to get me exactly what I was looking for. I will 100% go back for any of my outdoor needs.

I came in Saturday 12/28 in need of some boots. I had one idea in my mind of what I was wanting but after talking with Sam and trying a few pair on, I left happy with my new purchase. Sam was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It was a good experience I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

A friend and I went in for ski boots. We were greeted right away and the staff started their process of getting us into a boot that would fit our needs and liking. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Even talked to us about our upcoming ski trip and gave us some great tips to help get some cheaper lift tickets when we go. All-in-all; I highly recommend Sun Valley Sports and will definitely return for future purchases and service.

I highly recommend this shop! Just had the nicest experience picking out new snowboard boots for my trip to the Michigan slopes this week! Brian B. was super knowledgeable about the Adidas boots I was buying and explained everything to me that I needed to know before buying them. He even stayed after closing time to make sure that I had everything that I needed for my trip. Double bonus because the boots were on sale!!! Will definitely shop here again for my summer sports needs.
