Will 100% be moving my loan to another bank. They tacked on a $2500 expensive "insurance" onto my loan without my permission when I had insurance through State Farm the whole time! The system they use to show proof of insurance is a joke and now I think I'm going to miss the deadline even though I submitted it on time because they "have more questions." Not a single email or any alert... only sent 2 letters in the mail like it's 1991. I've had this loan almost 3 years and got a new policy and forgot to submit a declaration page. Maybe try calling? You'll be hearing from me on Monday!!!

I initially had a accident June 8, 2022 while working. Unable to work and receiving partial payments for injuries received via electronic check from a claims company. I am a student and new resident of Iowa. Deciding to deposit and open a new account with this credit union on June 23; in order to sustain myself for the duration of my stay. During account setup inside the branch, the teller explained the all of the mission, rules and regulations of the bank. He also verified the check via phone with the bank and claims management company that cleared the check; due to its large amount. However, once verifying this information it was made clear to me new accounts have 10-day holds for protection of the bank and customer. My issue is per the U.S. Federal Act “In 1987, Congress passed the Expedited Funds Availability Act (PDF) (EFAA), to address concerns about the lengths of holds banks were then placing on checks deposited by their customers. The EFAA establishes maximum permissible hold periods for checks and other deposits. The Board's Regulation CC (12 CFR part 229) implements the funds-availability and disclosure provisions of the EFAA in Subpart B of the regulation.” meaning that it’s at the banks discretion to minimize the hold period. Well it’s been 8 total days since deposit, or 6 business days. I’ve tried calling customer support & reaching out to online support to get funds released earlier. No prevail. So I am forced to wait a total of 14-Days! when electronic checks can be verified instantaneously. Not only am I in dire need of these funds because of bills and fees. I am forced to wait until after a bank holiday (4th of july) to be able to utilize funds. I despise saying this, but I believe this refusal to release such an extreme hold is due to discrimination. Regardless of credit score or check systems score if a customer is asking for services within a reasonable means; then the bank should be willing to conveniently and efficiently meet the need.

Great, not perfect, bills. I received a bill from this location from my source. It was a new and well pressed but not perfect. I really like a clean and stiff bill that isn't starchy. I would definitely use this location if I didn't have access to mint.

I used them to buy a rental property. The process went fine, but they sold my loan to Amerihome Mortgage Company who is horrible to deal with. They mentioned they'd probably sell the loan, but I wasn't clear on what this would look like. What's the point of using a credit union if they're just going to sell your loan to a mega-corporation?

GreenState did an awesome job setting me up with their rewards plus checking account and their rewards credit card. Highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a new low-interest credit card.

I have always had great service and help at Green State Credit Union on Mormon Trek Blvd. and believe in shopping locally and value having a relationship with those who provide the services that I need and remain loyal to them when I find the best. I have been a member of this Credit Union for over 50 years, financed two homes and numerous vehicles which should speak for itself.

The financial institution equivalent of someone giving you a paper cut and then pouring lemon juice on the open wound. My card was about to expire and I hadn't received a replacement, so I called to inquire. Turns out they mailed it to an address I'd left years ago. I receive mail about various services regularly, so I'm not sure why they sent my card, of all things, to the wrong address. I was then told a new card would be issued and I'd have it in a few days. Boy, was THAT a lie. It took over a week to receive my new card, which I only didn't have because they screwed up. To rub salt in the wound, my request triggered the cancellation of my current card, so I had no access to my own funds. Fortunately I have a checkbook and a credit card, but anyone without those would have been left totally high and dry. At this point in the story I resolved to take my business elsewhere, because the customer service - while unfailingly polite - was egregious; however, I soon noticed they also charged me a $5 replacement fee. That's right, folks, they charged me to replace the card that THEY lost, after shutting off the functioning card I had in my hand, because THAT was the threat to my security and not, you know, the part where they mailed my sensitive information to an address that should no longer have been in their system or attached to my name in any way. Not to mention this happened after I'd been a customer for over a decade. Absolutely dismal performance, UICCU. You're better off throwing your money in a mattress.

Extremely poor service. I have been going to this bank for 5 years, have a mortgage with them and this is a small town where everyone knows everyone. I wanted to cash a check (like I do every month there) with one small spelling error and he looked at me like I have committed fraud. That representative is Danny. He should go through customer service remediation course. He has been very rude to me. Funny how I get much better service in other branches with less wait time. Time to change a bank?

I scheduled an appointment with one of the mortgage officers at this branch. I showed up 10 minutes earlier for my appointment and was told he left for the day!!! Are you freaking kidding me? I took time off work since you don't work on Saturdays only to find you left for the day??? Then I went to the teller to do some simple transactions. The teller didn't know how to do it and consistently asked the help from others. I mean, why do you guys have people standing in the front desk without training? Then I followed up with my auto pay that I asked them to stop last Saturday and found out that it wasn't stopped. I just knew this was going to happen since every time I asked for some simple changes to my account, I need to go to the branch TWICE to have it done. They simply can't do it right in the first time. I am really disappointed. The front desk people seriously need some professional training. I mean ask your stuff go to Hills Bank and see how they dress and talk to customers!
