We spent $25 or so on 2 burgers, an order of fries, and 2 bottles of generic Members Mark water. We had never eaten there before and had heard it was the "go to" place in Tonganoxie. The burgers are pre-formed meat, they were dry and lacked flavor. The lasting flavor from the sandwiches was the American cheese. The ketchup and mayo is given to you in service packets and is Sisco Food low quality. The fries would have been really good IF they had put ANY salt on them when they came out of the fryer. They were served completely bland. By way of comparison, a few days later we ate at Biggs Burgers in Lawrence, spent $21, got 2 double burgers, 2 orders of fries, 2 fountain drinks, everything was seasoned, there were condiments ON the burgers, AND more than the standard tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and pickles, and there was so much food we had to take some home! Grandpa's was very disappointing for a burger place everyone was talking so highly of!

I was just driving by and was okay with paying whatever for a new culinary experience. I ordered a burger, cheeseburger, 2 fries and onion rings. $27.28 was the total. I paid $30, proving my first point. Burgers were excellent. $6-8? each? A bit steep for a place without a dining room or restrooms -- and maybe a waiter. Fries were average and unsalted. I love no salt, but I'm unusual that way. Onion rings were over done, making me wonder how much they cost me. I was not given or offered a receipt. I may be back if I pass thru again. I will be ordering the burgers only.

Not worth the wait, even call in orders took way to long. Expected better burgers due to the reviews. Decent, not great.

Had good dinner last night! Bacon fatboy with cheese & the catfish basket. The new staff is great! Got the entire order correct & out the door in a timely manner!

Just a small little burger joint in the middle of Tonganoxie Kansas. I stopped in because I was craving a big ole greasy cheeseburger and that's exactly what I got. The Fatboy w/cheese, is absolutely scrumptious and the staff was very helpful and informative about their vast array menu items. The man guaranteed I'd be coming back and I gotta say I believe him, can't wait to hit this place up for another juicy cheeseburger.!!.

Woops forgot to take a picture first because I was so excited to eat my Fatboy, with fried egg ofc. You know it's going to be good when that brown bag has those grease spots 😋

Classic, high quality eats. Menu reads like a greatest hits of roadside drive thrus and keeps every promise it makes. Even the sleeper double taco salad is just absolutely killer. Everything is made fresh to order, so bring just a little patience with you cause the wait is worth it! Limited outdoor seating but if the picnic tables are full just be a pro about it and pop your trunk, eat in your car, or take it home with ya.
