After sabotage to my Subaru Impreza classic, the police sent me to Midas to evaluate it. What they neglected to do was recommend a new gas cap—a locking one so I don’t have to get a new cat converter…the one I bought at Advance Auto was a Sunday Godsend! Kudos to the customer service there…

They sold me the wrong parts. I called to tell them after taking my brakes apart, and rather than admit fault, the employee insulted me and told me to make sure I know what year my car is.

Ordered parts online for my mothers car for brakes. Used her credit card for the purchase. Went to the store for pick up, the order was pulled and went home to do the job. After pulling the wheel and pads found the parts to be wrong. Checked the receipt and found part numbers wrong for pads and rotors. Drove back to the store to get the correct parts on the receipt. This should have been an easy “get the correct parts and take the wrong parts back”. Was far from that. The “manager” Martina wanted to look on the computer for the right parts. Still pulled the wrong parts again. So I finally said “just give me the parts on the receipt because they are correct and I had already paid for them. She pulls them and they are correct, in the meantime I explained I didn’t have the credit card as it was my mothers but we shouldn’t have to return anything anyway. Finally after playing shell game with all the incorrect parts on the counter she proceeds to “refund the amount for the correct parts”. Then wants to charge for the correct parts! I explained to her as I did before I didn’t have the car and there was no reason for her to refund. She said I should go get the card to pay for the same parts as before! She said it was for inventory, I explained the inventory was correct because I’m getting the correct parts that I paid for. She could not get this thru her thick skull. I told her I was not going home to get the card to pay for the same parts I paid for before. I said I could go to Autozone and she proceeded to tell me that was a good idea. Needless to say as long as Martina is “manager” there I will never go back.

Wish I could rate each employee. I went in for a battery. I had an option between two and I bought the more expensive one. There was a woman that appeared to be a manager of the store and she was very short with everyone employees and customers. There was an African American gentleman and he was trying very hard to take care of me. she got frustrated with him and went and got the battery and then looked at me and said you have somebody to install this don't you in a way that you knew she meant she hoped they didn't have to do it. I said no I was hoping you could install. she just sighed and told the gentleman that was helping me to install it. He needed help updating my account ph# and address and she yelled across the room I can just do it online. He came out to put the battery in and was so patient. He deserves a raise and she deserves a demotion. He gets 5 stars.
