Lexington is so lucky to have a record store like CD Central. Here, you can browse from an extensive collection of new and used vinyl and CDs, as well as used DVDs; there’s gifts and posters, too, if you’re looking to decorate those dorm room walls. They participate in Record Store Day, and often have some good leftovers to dig through the next day. Every time I go here, I have a hard time not walking out with $100 worth of records. They keep their new vinyl section well-stocked, and can order something for you if they don’t have it in. Everyone here is friendly and helpful, never pretentious. There is metered street parking out front, and free shared customer parking in the back lot behind the building. Viva Vinyl!

Great selection of both vinyl LPs as well as CDs, friendly atmosphere and lots of "extras". Great place for a date for music lovers of any generation, though me being a 90s kid I'm definitely biased.

What a quintessential part of the UK/Lexington experience. Located right next to UK's campus, you'll definitely want to stop by here at least once while you're in the Lexington area. Good section of old and new, vinyl and CDs. They have some turntables, too. It's hard to walk out of here without finding something to purchase. Parking in the area can be a challenge, but it's well worth the effort, at least once.

Great selection of new and old. Nice collection of old 78 rpm shellac discs too! Gentleman behind the counter was friendly and genuinely helpful. Some of these record stores are pretentious, this place was not. Comfortable, chill vibe, and worth a visit

Used to be 5 stars. Bought almost $500 worth of albums between two of us my last visit. One was a double album of new vinyl. One of the two albums was warped to the point it would not play. The manager kind of gave me a hard time saying it was prob my cheap player. The other album played fine and you could SEE the warp. I've shopped there for years. No more!

We were visiting the area and stumbled across this great record shop. My son and I have been in a number of record stores around the country and this one of the better stores we have shopped in. They had a great selection of new and used vinyls.

Cute little indie CD and record store. Became one of my favorite haunts while a UK student. Pretty regular inventory turnover, so always interesting finds! Prices could be better, but I figure it's also covering the great quality, wide selection, and atmosphere. Great selection of posters and equipment too!
