Of the three stores I visited today, this was probably my favorite. They are the best selection of accessories. Jewelry and cosmetics wasn't huge, but what they had was decent. Average to large selection of hair care products. Of course, lots of bundles and wigs. Large space, friendly service. Forewarning: they don't play when it comes to shoplifting and such. There is a wall of pictures of people caught shoplifting right next to the front door. ~Lydia

I ABSOLUTELY love this little place. They speak amazing English in case you don't speak Spanish. They also allow u to use what Spanish you think you might know, lol, without making you feel less than. They smile at you but that's the worst. I love the way they’re trying to locally curate these. I bought a blind date with a book and was extremely pleased with it. I’m taking off a star because they almost never have what I’m looking for, but they make up for that by always creating fun and unique ways to discover something new instead. This barnes and Noble is my go to and I will definitely be back. I can always order anything they don’t carry, but I can’t always discover something I wouldn’t normally read if I didn’t drop by. I would definitely recommend. ~Anna

It's like the small town hardware store you read about in novels. Quiet and familiarly friendly. The epitome of bluegrass Hardware store types. This place has anything you'll go looking for at It's major competitor chains and Chevy Chase Hardware is gonna save you money, while you support local. Give this place a search, first!!! ~Milo

What a quintessential part of the UK/Lexington experience. Located right next to UK's campus, you'll definitely want to stop by here at least once while you're in the Lexington area. Good section of old and new, vinyl and CDs. They have some turntables, too. It's hard to walk out of here without finding something to purchase. Parking in the area can be a challenge, but it's well worth the effort, at least once. ~Holly
