5 Best toy store in Glendale, Arizona (AZ) 2024

My son and I had our first visit here this last weekend and we were extremely impressed. Not only was the location well organized, easy to get around, positive feeling (sounds odd, but I know places like this that are almost depressing to go to) -- but the staff was incredible; knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. If you're looking for video games, this probably shouldn't be your first stop (I came here looking for Gameboy games and despite the limited selection, left with three of them) but they have a modest collection. Figures, statues, Pop ... plenty of this and more (see my pictures). There are vintage toys as well, but the focus seems more on more traditional collectibles. For a small business with a retail store front, their prices are quite competitive (at least what we saw while we were there). Be sure you "make a left" and check out the "cave" type room -- you'll see classic toys, vinyl, a couple of arcade cabinets -- a real retro dopamine hit in there. We had a great time and we will be back again. A recommended experience. ~Shane

Walmart was fine, except for the Snow Birds, from Idaho, Who pulled into the parking spot in front of me and jammed a shopping cart 🛒 between there Dodge Ram and my Car then walk away as if nothing happened. I did notice there license plate and what it said DON'T PUSH IT, I HAVE PMS AND A GUN! But the last laugh is mine because Walmart has video surveillance and it caught EVERYTHING. 3/31/2022 5:00-5:30 pm DON'T PUSH IT, I HAVE WISDOM, DON'T NEED A GUN. ~Gary

Great store that always seems to be organized for the most part when we visit. Sure there’s the times during seasonal changes or the few random aisles that kids might get to. But polite staff and a clean and organized store, great for a quick visit when you might forget something elsewhere or not looking to break the bank. ~Danny

Poor customer service. The African male complained about stocking the candy section which was my first red flag. I came in to purchase bandages and was walking around and one of the female employees claimed she saw me poke a hole in the plastic of the pillow. Followed by saying if you do that again you will purchase the pillow. After addressing her and telling her I didn’t because why would i poke a hole into a pillow??? The plastic already had a slit in it so you could feel the memory foam 🤣 She continued walking behind the counter and was still talking about it to the African male. Mind you a customer had just stolen items and walked out with nothing being done to stop it. But when I asked for the camera footage to be pulled nobody wanted to do that. She then said “I wasn’t trying to make a big deal out of it”. So why continue talking about it to your co workers and now they’re putting their commentary in ?? This was a completely unprofessional act on part of the family dollar. Never returning. ~Isaak

Quick and courteous service. A nice selection of newly arrived products. Excellent arrangement of party and baking supplies. Could do without all the panhandling though. ~George
