12 Best variety store in Phoenix, Arizona (AZ) 2024

This is a medium sized store and has a good produce department. Frozen section is not very big but has a decent selection of things, lots of stuff to choose from and a few brand name items that are lower cost. If you are getting your first space or apartment this is the place to go to get your starters. It is a little worn and dingey but overall is ok ~TERESA

The employees are overworked to say the least. They do a really good job at keeping the store clean and checking everyone out quickly, so it’s pretty sad to see them so tired before closing. The reason they get 5 stars from me is because I am utterly amazed by the inventory at times. Sometimes they stock up on rare items or items that are otherwise really expensive at other stores. They also have affordable snacks that I can’t find anywhere else! :) I like that I can spend less than $20 on snacks for me and my bf and always get in and out of the store in 30 mins or less. The store can get dirty and crowded during holidays or busy days, but that’s expected for most stores on the SS. Overall pretty good store! ~April

This is my favorite place to shop. They’ve got almost everything you need at a cheaper price than anywhere else for decent quality. A lot of random name brand things marked down in price. Fresh produce and food for sale. I do most of my shopping here. Also random fun goodies which make it interesting to shop here always. ~Trevor

It's okay. Not the friendliest or nicest place I've shopped. Often the things I need or am looking for don't seem to ever be in stock. Because of this I find myself rarely shopping here. If I do go its usually because a friend needs to stop by and that's when I'll get an item or two. ~Emma

Don't be fooled by the neighborhood. This Dollar General is probably the nicest store in the entire area. When you walk in the store it's clean, brightly lit, well stocked and the employees are friendly. I have made this my go to stop on my way to work in the morning for my enernjgy drinks and lunch snacks. Even the parking lot feels reasonably safe and mostly free from all of the rando homeless people. ~Dawn

Like most of the other reviews say, this store’s shelves are ALWAYS bare. The size of this location is already the smallest I’ve ever seen, so you can imagine it’s pretty slim pickins’ — on top of it being really dirty (not messy, but like dirt & grime built up over the years). The cashiers are stellar, kind women who I can tell go way above and beyond, so the store owner or corporate is seriously dropping the ball at this location. Honestly won’t ever go back because there was hardly anything to buy. ~Amanda

Great customer service. All employees with great attitude and excellent customer service. Specially Sylvia in the morning with a good morning greet. I love Dollar Tree. Even though their prices rose a quarter most of the items are well worth it. Everything has gone up way before they did. The cashiers are always professional and courteous. The store is clean and organized! ~Pam

This Dollar Tree location is always clean, well stocked and staffed by friendly employees. They greet us upon our arrival, are kind to my young children, and engage in conversation during check out. Even when the store is busy the lines always move quickly. I look forward to taking my kiddos here to pick out holiday cards for family members, craft supplies, coloring books, and little trinkets for friends.
