Don't be fooled by the neighborhood. This Dollar General is probably the nicest store in the entire area. When you walk in the store it's clean, brightly lit, well stocked and the employees are friendly. I have made this my go to stop on my way to work in the morning for my enernjgy drinks and lunch snacks. Even the parking lot feels reasonably safe and mostly free from all of the rando homeless people.

I can't remember this young lady's name but I think her name was Jen or Joan she's new there every time I come in there she has nothing but positive attitude great customer service and she is so sweet like she be on top of her job kudos to her cuz that store needed her 😇💋

DG on Van Buren not far from downtown. Location is in the middle of a large number of used car lots. The store looked empty. A salesclerk appeared after several minutes. Store was clean.

Has everything you need. Always fully stocked. The only thing I do notice is that the dog food goes out fast! They have everything from food to first aid necessities and OTC medication. I grab many of my party supplies here as they have a variety of colors for napkins, cups, and plates. Mini pin'atas too!

Nice's Dollar General store I've ever visited. Clean neat organized. Much to choose from. Cashier was very nice and professional. All employees were working hard stocking new merchandise. Definitely a 5. This is a up and coming neighborhood improvement area. Will visit again.

Love this one ... One of there workers. Older lady (brown hair) was the cashier at the time I was checking out and she notice I was struggling to carry all my bags and ended up grabbing the rest of them and walked me all the way to the car. With what's going on in today's world you very rarely come across anyone anymore that is kind and is willing to help. And she did! I really appreciate her and the great customer service she always has towards me when I am in the store. Wayyyyy to go👍

Oh man this location is on point. Although they didn't have what I stopped in for the establishment was well stocked, very spacious for easy access even for a person in a manual or electric wheelchair. The layout allows for minimal circling to locate things and it's upgraded from the regular Dollar General with it's fountain soda dispenser and refrigerated snacks! It may not be in the best neighborhood although it's just a few blocks from downtown Phoenix, but once you enter you would never know it's dead center of the hood! Kudos to you Dollar General for such an awesomely clean establishment and very courteous employees!

Business hours are false. I arrived at 845pm business hours say close at 9pm. Doors were locked. An employee I can see inside gave me a hand signal to let me know their closed. Nothing seemed wrong, there was shoppers still in there. I understand if the employees trying to get out right at 9 but that's not good for me or my family when I drive out of my way. The business hours are posted incorrectly on the website and the front door. Update that info I.E. Business hours 7am to 845pm entry doors lock and 9pm closed. 1 star since this location is usually clean and organized.
