Best supermarket in Oakland, California (CA) 2024

KP market is a good place for Korean and Asian home goods and groceries. There is some parking available but it can be tight at peak times. It’s good that they provide disposable plastic gloves and gel station for their customers during these Covid times. ~Ton

Love this store! They sell the best home made tortilla chips you can buy- thin and crispy - texmex style. It is the primary reason I shop here. For everything else, they carry pretty much anything you can find at Safeway and price competitively…one thing cool is that Luckys reminds me of the grocery stores of yesteryear - or the one in the 90s, albeit slightly updated (not as much as Safeway/vons). I really enjoy walking around in this place and I feel that the organization is intuitive. Was able to find everything right away. Anyways, come here for the chips- trust me. The only other place that has chips like this (that is not in Texas) is the little taqueria on Piedmont called BAJA. ~John

Everything seems to be atleast a dollar more than it should be. They sold a expired fruit sampler i picked up. Smelled and tasted sour. I tried to call customer service and got no answer. I think i remember seeing a no refunds on card sign on their door so I guess I must be out of $5. Would not really recommend for daily shopping, stick to the deals, there was a couple surprising vegan deals but overall it’s really pricey and doesn’t have enough cashiers. ~Mx
