Was craving some good pizza and this spot came up on Resy so I reserved a table. Arrived around 11:30am and found a reservation wasn’t needed as there were plentiful available tables. A friendly waitress showed me to a booth and as I read over the menu, she brought me a glass of water. I ordered the house salad, a specialty mushroom pizza and added pepperoni. Even though I was brought the pizza without the pepperoni, when I brought this to the waitresses attention, she immediately apologized and ordered the right pizza. I tasted the mushroom only pizza and it was delicious but the version with pepperoni was even better! House salad and house wine were the perfect accompaniment. Was only slightly taken aback by the mild mannered husky allowed to roam around but he seemed to know his boundaries pretty well. Would definitely eat here again 😋 ~Global

Lemon Meringue pie, as my daughter says, is to die for. Same about Chicken Pot Pies. Cookies are the best. So much to choose from, but I always have my faves. Nicest owners, prices are a bargain. Kids love their ice cream bar. ~sandy

Beautiful selection! I was hoping to find baby basics for a newborn but instead found adorable outfits that I just couldn't resist. My husband also liked the prices compared to the posh baby boutiques throughout Marin. Will definitely be coming back to check out clothing for older kids and toys. ~Alani

I’ve been going here for over 30 years (ever since it was called Crystal Reflections) & the hand-made jewelry is amazing. This is a great place to buy gifts (& receive gifts from!) - plus they are masters at jewelry repair. This family owned business is a must-see in San Anselmo! 💎 💎💎 ~Jules

Disappointed by the fact that I let them know three times ahead of my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, and even at some point discretely during the dinner, and they forgot to bring the candle, even though they had assured me on the phone that they would do so. When you travel 1.5 hours to the restaurant and save up to dine there, you would expect a little care for each customer. When we arrived at the restaurant, a woman greeted us coldly and did not even acknowledge our reservation. Aside from that element which dampened my time there, Madcap owns a great plate collection which enhances one’s dining experience significantly! Their dishes were beautifully presented, and most of them had their produces’ flavours enhanced rather than masked, which was a strong positive element. Our waiter was delightful. If not for the birthday mishap and the unfriendliness of the hostess, I surely would have recommended them more. ~Aliya

Great neighborhood bar. The locals are friendly and down-to-earth. Spencer the bartender's an engaging host, there's a big outdoor space next to the creek, a pool table and a shuffleboard game inside. Sometimes live music and/or other entertainment or amusement is happening for your pleasure. Check it out, bring your dog! ~kat

Elan is an amazing place. The camaraderie, support, and friendship you gain here is worth every bit as much as the fitness goals you achieve. The staff is friendly and inviting, the instructors are knowledgable and the classes are fun. There are so many workout options in Marin- but you won't find the atmosphere that Elan offers. It's laid back and friendly vibe will encourage you to come back and get fit, for life! Many of the members have been going here for more than 10 years plus, which speaks for itself. What really helped me regain my fitness was going to the classes. The instructors are truly talented teachers and very fit themselves. They will help you safely and effectively achieve your goals and inspire you to keep coming back. You could join a yoga place, a barre place, cycling place or whatnot, or you could just join Elan and have it all at a reasonable rate. ~Mia

San Anselmo Preschool (SAPS) is a place that celebrates a child’s individuality and creativity. They are a play based preschool that really brings joy to teaching a learning. I have my daughter there and I feel so confident and comfortable leaving her in the hands of the fantastic staff. She absolutely loves going to school and as a parent, I feel supported and in a partnership with her teachers. I love being part of the SAPS community and would recommend it highly!! ~Gretchen

Special wine bar. Great space for a glass at the bar or sit-down dinner. The place is very warm and inviting. It offers an excellent and eclectic wine list, with quality bites to match. The owners, Vincent and Colm, are always there attending to guests in person and engaging in conversations despite it getting quite busy most nights. The events and specials are fun (e.g. oyster and prosecco special). Refreshing and cozy family run business with a fantastic wine selection. ~Dalia
