Unethical business practices, employees, and manager's, all who have a total disregard for morals and integrity. Thats the best sentence I believe describes not only this particular location, but their corporate leadership as well.
I was preciously an avid customer to Bath and Body works because I love their hand soaps and their candles. However, they threw my customer and brand loyalty right into another business where I will purchase soap and candles. And probably for cheaper anyways.
My teenage niece bought my Christmas present (yes Christmas, for some reason I hadn’t thought sooner to share how unprofessional and unethical this place is) at this location during their Black Friday buy 3 get 3 sale. She was excited about her purchase for several reasons. A: because she just got her very first job, so this would be the first Christmas she actually purchased her own gifts to give out. But B: At 15 years old she isn’t allowed a lot of hours thus doesn’t have a plethora of money to spend on gifts. So this sale was perfect and exciting for her because she was getting six candles and could split them into several different gifts.
Fast forward to after Christmas. She tells me she wasn’t honored their Black Friday sale. Also again being 15 she wasn’t going to speak up and ask or verify (yes her fault to a degree. Hopefully she learns to speak up in the future) but regardless I asked if she had the receipt still. Which surprisingly she did. And sure enough she was not honored their highly advertised, extremely popular, sale. So fast forward again and to make a long review short (kinda) I took the receipt and went to the store. And asked if they would offer the sale that they had already offered but didn’t honor to me at that time. And guess what they did?!! Told me nope! Sorry there’s nothing we can do for you…..I’m like I don’t want you to do anything special for me other than to honor the sale that you mistakenly did not apply to my Black Friday purchase. There was no discussing, no alternative options or suggestions for what they would do to make it right. It was just a straight cold hard nope. We will not go back and honor the discount for you.
In my opinion they took advance of a young inexperienced shopper. And they fact they refused to right THEIR wrong is completely absurd and terrible customer service, with no attempt or regard of making the situation right. I’d be So curious as to how much money they saved that day but ripping off other 100s of Black Friday Shoppers.
I will never shop and this brand again because of this incident. ~Brandi
