7 Best toy store in Louisville, Kentucky (KY) 2025

I was in your store on Thursday, August 11 and was shocked at the overall condition of the front of the store. There was literally junk strewn from one end to the other. To top it off, I had the misfortune of having to use the ladies restroom. It would rather have used a public gas station. This is not the Target I have been used to. What a shame. ~Pat

I just drove 15 minutes to visit a different Dollar Tree. While I'm writing this review four other customers were trying to visit also. The supervisor just said she was waiting on this employee who just walked up. I will come back and add more stars if I found the things on my list. ~Victoria

I’ve always been a dollar tree shopper. I have visited several dollar trees in my area and not one of those can compare to the dollar tree at Southland Terrace. From the moment you walk in that store you’re greeted with a smile every time no matter how many questions you ask someone is going to help you and they’re going to do it with a smile on their face every time !!!! I I visit a lot of other dollar trees and they just don’t seem to compare with the kindness and the friendliness of all the workers at the Southland Terrace store here in Louisville I highly recommend going there. If you need help finding something they will do their best to help you with whatever you need. Thank you to all the employees and managers of the Southland Terrace store !!! I give this store five stars because they deserve it ~annette

This is the only family dollar that open in my area. All the ones on Broadway are closed. They pretty much have everything in stock but they do not have any baskets. People kept stealing them. I suggest they order more baskets with the pole where it can't go out the door. ~Diva

Great items for crafts..tons of paint .. canvas... brushes.. glitters.. glues ..stixs..birdhouses...trinket boxes..decals...wooden and metal stuff to paint..do-it-yourself wedding projects. I was pretty impressed. Cute inexpensive wine glasses, perfect for girls night in. Party supplies are great and really affordable. 👌 ~Hempgrl

I’m doing a 3, because I like this location. However, for the last couple of years they always have a sign up saying closed or hours reduced. Please update your online hours, because several people show up. It’s not fair to the customer. I understand staffing is an issue, but hours should be updated accordingly so people do not waste a trip. ~Jerrad

Just had the weirdest experience at this Family Dollar. For some background, my wife and I are struggling financially and literally live to the last penny we have in our name each week. All I had left to my name until payday tomorrow was $2 in rolled pennies and some quarters, but I needed some mozzarella cheese to make pizza for dinner tonight. So we went up to the Family Dollar, grabbed some cheese, and went to the check out counter. I apologized that all I had was pennies, explained that I rolled them so I wasn’t shoving loose change into this lady’s hands. I assured her many times I triple counted the coins to ensure it was the correct amount each role. Honestly, if she wanted me to count them for her I would have because I understand people try to pull a quick one on others a lot. She didn’t ask me too, but she did ask me five or more times if they were exactly 50 cents to each role. I assured her that yes it was correctly counted each time with a smile. She then told my wife and I that the owner, Vicki, knows everyone in town and if the roles were incorrect she was gonna do… something? Her tone suggested that if I was even a penny off this Vicki person was going to come after us. I’ve lived down the street for three years and never met a Vicki. Either way, I was already embarrassed that I was buying part of my dinner with change and this interaction didn’t help that. Needless to say, we probably won’t be back. ~Summer
