Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

Use this is my regular go-to-store. Prior to the pandemic the paints were in stock. 2021, not so much. I cannot get the Emerald interior paints so instead of 5 gallons, its two gallons and I have to run to another store to purchase the other gallon -- if they have it. Overall, it's convenient. It's typically a two-man operation so when it's busy, you can wait 10-15 minutes per transaction/customer. On the rare early afternoons, it may be a one person store. Heads up people: Reserved White is a great interior paint color. It's a white with a hint of gray-blue. It's awesome. However, every store's machine is different so the store in Metairie was white w/ a hint of tan/brown so Reserved White may not be great there (for me). Good luck and happy painting. ~Justin

H Bodden Renovations LLC

Gave a quote for installation of siding while material was being shipped. A price was agreed and after all materials were on the job site, a start date was also agreed. The day before the agreed start date, he sent a message saying that his price would increase $3,500 from the original agreed price in order for the job to begin. Not an honest or professional way of doing business. Edit in response to owner: Quote was given on October 29th 2021 over a month after Hurricane Ida hit. Also met with you February 11th 2022 personally 2 days before the increase in price with no mention of it then. Not an honest way. ~Dennis

Eddie's Ace Hardware Inc.

This place is horrible and they don't need the business because they turn it down left and right with pathetic excuses. I work in the Louisiana film industry and have been born and raised here my entire life, so we try to give our business to locally owned (mom and pop) type businesses as to help our local economy but unfortunately I will not endorse spending any money at Eddie's hardware on downman rd as they don't treat the customer the way a customer should be treated. So it looks like I'm on the hunt for another locally owned and operated business but worst case scenario I will go to a big box store if it comes to it unfortunately. ~michael
