Best auto repair shop in Portland, Maine (ME) 2024

I can't speak highly enough of Hamilton. They are responsive, professional, thoughtful, honest, straightforward, reliable, and a pleasure to work with. They run a great business and are accordingly pretty booked up every time you call, but the wait of a few weeks is worth it (assuming your vehicle is road-safe). They'll even give tips on things to do while you're waiting to get in to see if you can diagnose or mitigate the problem on your own. I've never felt more loyalty to a mechanic in my life, and I've only gone twice. Thanks, Hamilton! A friend recommended Paulin's to me and I cannot say enough about it! I am really happy with their customer service and quality of care they put into their work. My car had a tire with a slow air leak...I called ahead to see if they had any time to look at it. They weren't booking appointments for another 3 days but told me to stop by and they'd see what they could do. 4 hours later they had a new tire put on my car and it was ready for me to pick up! I was blown away by their efficiency and the clear communication all the way through this process. I was able to pay over the phone as I was still at work when the car was ready, and I picked up my car later in the night. They left the keys for me and even had a protective floor mat and plastic covering draped over my seat! This attention to detail speaks volumes to me about how much they truly care for their customers. I feel so thankful for this place, and their prices are extremely affordable, too.
