8 Best auto repair shop in Southfield, Michigan (MI) 2024

If I could leave less stars I would. DO NOT go here. I had some brake work done here March 3 2015. The male that runs the shop replaced all the pads and not the rotors. Now my breaks are grinding. I take it back today and the male there tells me the pads are old and I ask how when he just replaced them. The lug nuts on my vehicle are rusty and the guy that fixed it tried to act like he didn't remember doing the repairs. I told him that he did replace the pads and he did get the tire off but now it wont come off. He started yelling at me saying he won't touch my car again and that I was rude. I never raised my voice at him prior to him yelling at me. He threw me out of his shop! I have never been treated so poorly at a business. This shop has a sticker saying they are a AAA facility. They are not! Stay away from thia this business!!! ~LaJuanda

Going to United auto and collision was the greatest decision I made. They repaired a dent on my driver side door and made it look just like new. They took great care of me. I needed my brake pads and rotors done rapidly as I was on a time constraint. They did the job super fast. Got to speak with the mechanic, he took care of everything and even offered to help me with other minor car issues. The price is also very good compared to dealerships. The rotors and pads they have are also solid, no squeals and almost no brake dust. Brake dust was a big issue on my car before. I'm happy with what I got and I hope to work with them in the future. ~Kamrul

I just bought a used Mercedes from a lady who had it for 4 years and never did any maintenance to it just driving it for style with no desire for the upkeep at all in all that time nor detail interior and had to take it to these people after paying $85 for extreme deep cleaning and put $1,700 into the car including a tune-up that was never done in the four years and now my car is running like new. They made sure I would get the best use out my experience and I will use them again. They fixed gaskets and oil leaks and all! I bought the car "as is" and it definitely was "just that" and not worth a dollar more for what I had to do after she got out of it, but now it's worth the money I paid for it not just "the name or shell". A car is nothing without good mechanical maintenance and for foreign cars if you can afford the work one this is the place to be! Now my car is getting the respect it deserves from it's new owner ME and my new mechanic. Can't go cheap owning a 🗣foreign! ~Detroit's
