Best car rental agency in Omaha, Nebraska (NE) 2024

All rental cars are expensive right now. That being said, the service was excellent. Checking in a breeze and had my car within 10 minutes. The car was absolutely stunning and I paid the lowest price, and when I drop the car off and took exactly 5 minutes. I would definitely rent from this company again. ~ann

So is it normal practice to charge both the estimated total as well as the deposit to a customer's credit card once the rental is returned? Especially when the car is washed and vacuumed before returning it to the facility? Doesn't make sense due to the fact that the deposit/auth is supposed to include the estimated total and any additional charges/fees? P.S. - It's difficult to actually get them on the phone too. The line's are usually busy. Probably from answering all the questions concerning the extra charges. ~KTreSev

My car overheated after driving 10 miles. I called the emergency roadside line who asked me to wait in the car for a tow truck. I called repeatedly over the next 2 hours, each time being told to wait in my sweltering car. During this time I was repeatedly routed to the counter at this location - no one ever was there to pick up the phone (this was at 10pm). After 2.5 hours, I told the roadside assistance people I couldn't wait anymore, it was too hot. They then told me I should have asked for police assistance and the tow truck would eventually come. At no time did anyone make this recommendation beforehand. I called to confirm that it was eventually towed (they didn't come until 13 hours after I initially called). The company that booked the car followed up and confirmed that I should no longer be charged. Through all this time, no one was able to reach this particular site - when routed from National's central line, the phone just rang at the counter each time. Fast forward - one week later, I am texted by National stating I still have the car and asking how much longer I would like to extend it. I respond that I DON'T have the car and don't want to extend it. No one responds. I call the number, no one answers. Two days later, I see my credit card is still being charged. I'm writing this review while on hold, having spent another 30 minutes on the phone with National trying to get this situation remedied. It is still ongoing. The worst experience I've ever had with a car rental. I cannot more strongly advise against using National. ~Doug
