So is it normal practice to charge both the estimated total as well as the deposit to a customer's credit card once the rental is returned? Especially when the car is washed and vacuumed before returning it to the facility? Doesn't make sense due to the fact that the deposit/auth is supposed to include the estimated total and any additional charges/fees? P.S. - It's difficult to actually get them on the phone too. The line's are usually busy. Probably from answering all the questions concerning the extra charges.

This is a franchise owned location..not sure if all are. 12am closing time is too early when flights routinely get delayed. Even when can see my flight info on my reservation they still didn't wait for me when I was late landing. Stay open later or at least stay until your customer's flights get in...this should be a no brainer for just average customer service. Are we really expected to look up specific car rental locations for their hours at an airport for every flight we take? Other rental counters were open, so why can't they have a later closing time? I'll remember to never choose Dollar/Thrifty at this location.

Arrived in Omaha 15 minutes later than scheduled pick up time to discover Dollar rental had CLOSED its booth (guess their workers DONT CARE about the customers coming in exhausted!) leaving me stranded at the airport on graduation/mother's day weekend with no cars available from other rental agencies. DO NOT use this company especially if you are a woman traveling. What a train wreck. USE AT YOUR OWN PERSONAL RISK, LITERALLY!

This company is too expensive and the cars are not that worthy. I picked my car at 12:30 and returned next day 3:13 and they charged me 468 dollars. That was just a day and hours that’s insane. I told the guy at the front desk and he told me it is what it is. I personally think this is not a good company to rent to. One time and the last one!!!

One of the worst I had a reservation and it says a long as you have a return flight you can use a debit card. I get there they want to run a credit check then charge you $15 to do a credit check then the lady was really rude was very unhelpful not even friendly at all very rude i was coming from denver co for my daughter basketball tournament. I was upset cause I almost didn't have a car to get around. Good thing Avis rent a car was there and friendly got a car in 5 min with Avis rent a car showed them my return flight .was cheaper n more professional n friendly won't be back to dollar or thrifty they one in the same very rude. I'll go to Avis where they help they customers. Learn how to help ppl n be kind.

Called 2 hours after dropping off my rental in hopes of getting my sunglasses back. Never happened. They don't make the best attempts at retrieving your property for you if you leave it in the car so be aware. Who knows what happened or who has them now but Dollar definitely didn't go out of their way in the slightest to help get them back to me!

DON'T TAKE YOUR LIFE IN YOUR HANDS WITH THIS COMPANY! DEATH TRAP CAR RENTAL! I had to get my rental car towed when it snowed due to bald tires! Other cars were driving past me with no problems. This company has no regard for their customers. The staff have no power to help customers with problems. I brought the car back early & was charged extra! I was supposed to leave without the corrected receipt & trust they would fix it. Right, that would've happened... They should not have charged me at all and even with an early return I ended up paying as much as the full three days because of hourly charges. RIP OFF, I FEEL SCAMMED. Never again.

No verbal communication of a deposit being put on my credit card, deposit was $200 higher than what was posted on the paperwork. Almost charged about $40 more than the agreed upon price from online booking. After discussion price was reduced $20 but still $20 more than agreed upon. Unhelpful manager said that the fees posted on Expedia were not accurate even though Expedia clearly states that all mandatory taxes and fees are included. Will not return. They will try and gouge you. Oh and salesman lied saying it's cheaper to bring back the car empty (gas) neglecting to mention extra charges.

We were given the best car option and prices. We had excellent Customer Service. We picked up a very clean Chrysler 200, brought it back and we were treated so well by all our contacts with this company. No Problems during any part of this experience. I Highly recommend this company for a stress free car rental.

The worst experience we have ever had. We were quoted a price of 285 online for a full size vehicle similar to a Ford Taurus. They gave us a Hyundai elantra which is a compact car. The car seat couldn't fit without having the drivers seat up against the steering wheel so we asked for a full size car like what we paid for. We were given a jeep renegade which is a compact suv with barely enough room for a car seat, two suitcases, and a stroller. Still not the same as a full size car so this is why they give lower quotes. We took the car because they would charge us more for any other vehicle which they claim as premium cars but other rental companies use the same cars as full size. This is false advertising. After we leave I checked the receipt to find the phone number to call back and see if there were other locations I noticed the receipt showed 100 dollars more than what I was quoted online. I called and asked why and he stated we were getting charged an extra day if we didn't have the car back by 11am on day 5 even though we paid a weekly rate. We get to the airport and the Jessica the manager stated that was wrong information but didn't do anything to help. They charged me a different rate than I was quoted. We were at the airport 4 hours early because we didn't want to get charged 100 dollars and they wouldn't do anything to help us get the car back for a few hours without charging more. We couldn't check our bags in because we were so early before our flight. Incorrect pricing, false advertising on the vehicle you are renting, and horrible customer experience is why we will never do business with dollar ever again.
